But the person whoem he bit was an intruder either in my house or on my property, would i be in trouble?, same as if he attacked a dog that was running through my front garden, My dog is a loving loyal dog, i have 4 children, youngest 6 months old and although i would never leave him alone in the room with my baby i have no thoughts that would make me think he was a danger to my family, He is a lovely dog to others out side of my property but he is a ferocious guard dog as soon as we are on my property, would i be responsible for any injury caused by him to trespassers according to uk law?

I took my Jack Russell for a walk this weekend. We were walking in a field and out of the blue, another dog (a lurcher I think), came running at him at attacked him. It was really awful, at one point my dog was pinned to the ground then he managed to free himself, but the dog had another go and sunk his teeth into his belly. We eventually pulled them apart, but it seemed to take forvever - we just couldn't grab hold of them. I've now had a £245 vet bill

I have been pondering over this question all weekend so must find an answer..... When walking the dog, who gets more worn out? The dog has four legs so can they walk twice as further as us without getting tired, or do they have to work harder because they have four legs which would make them tired faster?

On Friday I took my female dog to the vet to get fixed. She was a Chow 2 years old, up to date with her shots healthy. 7 months ago she had 6 puppies all of which survived. In the morning that she left she was playing with two of her puppies in the yard and seemed happy. She was a live in dog that was great with kids and babies.
I dropped her off at 8h30am and at 10h30 I got a call from the vet telling me that she had died on the operating table. The vet did a blood smear and said it came out clear. She has no idea why the dog died...
As most of you know live in dogs are members of the family and I find it hard to accept no answer as an answer. Are there any questions I should have asked my vet to find out what happened? What do you think happened? She said the bill will include some adrenaline shots that she used to try revive my dog. She said that this is the first time she has had a healthy dog die on her with a simple procedure like this.

My Daschund can do many tricks. My favorite is when I point my fingers at him and say BANG and he falls over. He continues wagging his tail and looking for the treat. Not the greatest actor but it is still pretty cool.

My cat get so very territorial over a fuzzy mouse to the point where if you get close to him then he hisses and growls at you, and he keeps that mouse in his mouth and will not let go. My hubby had to hold him down with both hands and I had to try and get the mouse away from him because my daughter wanted to play with it to and we were scared that he would claw the crap out of her if she got close. Why is this. He had never been this way with his toys and someone getting close to him, he usually likes it when you play with him but you give him that mouse and it is a whole new cat and attitude.

I have a rabbit & guinea pig which both live outdoors. I'm getting a bit concerned as I know the winter is coming & the the weather is getting colder. As they live outdoors, what changes should I make to their living environment in the winter? I want to make sure they're warm enough. They have a large hutch, which doesn't get a lot of wind. They have a large pen around the hutch, with windproof sheeting around it. However, it's not going to be enough to keep them warm when the weather gets colder & icier. Can anyone give me some advice please.

I adopted two female kittens about 3 months ago, when they were 10 weeks old. The first kitten is now about seven pounds, while her sister is not even two pounds! She was a runt when I brought her home, but she has hardly grown at all. I have taken her to the vet several times, but we can find nothing physically wrong with her. She is just small. She is completely normal in bone structure (no signs of dwarfism), and she is actually kind of fat for her frame, but she is just tiny in stature. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this?
