It`s 14' by 7' and about 26" deep. I have goldfish and a couple catfish in it. Looking for cheaper alternative than a heater. Any suggestions welcome.

Is it morally wrong to have a dog and 4 kids without having the money to care for their medical needs? Especially when this person dictates morals to others? I say it is, at best, irresponsible. What do you think?

i have a cat that is a 2 yr old runt. he weighs 9lbs, 3 oz. my vet is a little nervous about fixing him until he is at least 9.5 lbs. however, he enjoys having 'kitty sex' with the blankets off my bed. as a result, i either have to wash my bedding every other day, or sleep in kitty-come. EWW!!!!!!!! how do i get him out of this habbit??? since he is otherwise healthy, is getting him fixed my only option?

My minature schnauzer needs all of my attention all the time which he usually gets. He always sleeps with me or on me and I can't get him to even think about his own bed. No matter what I do he follows me every where...Seriously he has not EVER left my side and I can't get him to sleep in his own bed. I've tried closing the door and he just stays up all night howling and crying and scratching the door and he will not stop.

I have an 8 year old son and I don't want the kitten damaged or manhandled by him too soon. Should I just treat him gently till he heals or carry on as normal?

I have had a dog (female, 3 years old) and two cats (male and female, year and a half years old,) for some time now. They all get along fine for the most part. If there is a little quarrel between them it's no big deal. However, I just got a new cat from my father--who's cat just had kittens. He is 7 weeks, and won't get along with the other animals at this house. Our older male cat doesn't seem to mind him at all, and the dog is happy to see another animal (it won't attack the kitten, but it will not leave the poor thing alone!), and the female older cat is rather mean to everybody, especially the new kitten. Even though most of these older animals are rather nice, the kitten is either terrified, or seems to just not like the other pets.

Is there any way I can get this new kitten to warm up to the other pets in the house?

I just brought home a new puppy and she is 2 months old. I also have a 4 year old female dog. Whenever my older dog goes to parks/is walked, she is weary of other dogs and barks from a distance; but when she nears them, she is scared.
When I brought the puppy home, my other dog sniffed her a bit and was actually scared of her. She is avoiding her now and once in a while comes near. I'm afraid she'll get depressed over the fact we have a new puppy. She has moped around all day by herself. :(

I recently fixed 2 of my cats and one of them really seems more calm, the male. He doesn't act crazy and chase things as much. He also sleeps all night, where as he didn't used as much. Is this weird?

And it isn't physical, I don't use a bit and I often ride him bare back and he will still do it all the way home. So it's all in his head. And I don't want to use a martingale

I have a female cat .She is 1 and a half year old.
the problem is she gave birth to 3 kittens 3 months ago.ie., july
she didnt show any sign of labor, and all the 3 of them were really small in size[ size of a small rat], my mom said that they were prematures and they all died a day after.

But my cat again Pregnant now, she is sleeping a lot ,and eat only a little.

My question is will she give birth to set of healthy kittens.
she is not eating anything ,she ask for milk and she wont drink it.
will there be any problem to my cat.

I have 2 cats . I keep a litter box upstairs and 1 downstairs. I scoop them out everyday, most of the time. and put in fresh litter twice a week. I still have people comment that my house smells like cat. I know they're only using their litterbox, so how can I keep my house smelling clean. I swear I'm not a dirty person.

I'd like a dog that is mellow. They seem mellow. Are they and are they as puppies as well? Any other breed suggestions for mellow dogs? Thanks!

I recently bought a pet golden hamster and have discovered that though normal, he is quite the lazy creature. I had heard it was not advised to house a golden type with a dwarf, but would like to get a dwarf hamster. The cage is very large, with many hide-outs and 2 and 3-tiered levels. Is it possible for them to coincide with one another? Thanks in advance!! :)

I got him from my boyfriends sister, they had to get rid of him because he was "eating" the females? (sounds a little strange to me, I thought only males fought) I believe he is full grown. He looks about...8 inches long. I feed him canned food. However, he will NOT eat the canned crickets. I've tried. But he just...picks them up & spits them back out. He did however, eat one. But he LOVES the canned worms. They look pretty small to me. & he will eat as many as I put out. I've been feeding him 10 at a time, once a day. Is that too much or too little??

Also, he is very aftraid of me. I will put my hand in the cage for a while untill I think he is used to it, then gently try to pet him. But most of the time he runs & hides. Does anyone know how I can get an adult gecko to actually like me & let me handle him?
