Is it morally wrong to have a dog and 4 kids without having the money to care for their medical needs? Especially when this person dictates morals to others? I say it is, at best, irresponsible. What do you think?

People de not know what may happen later on in life.Mabey they were in better times when the children were born.
However, people who have kids while they have no security(pets too!) ARE morally wrong!
I had my tubes tied when my life went to crap,so no more children would have to live less provided for!It was a hard decision, but I am glad now. My husband would not work & ran around all the time & it was another 10 yrs before i was able to get a divorce!Believe me!I would have been out long before then if anyone would have listened to me!

They must be in big trouble if they cannot pay for medical expences for their children. If they don't have a very happy home life then maybe a dog to play with would brighten their day. Instead of considering the negatives, maybe the fun they have with their pet is more important. As for the preaching of morals to everyone else, that has got on my nerves so I can't imagine how annoying it must be for you.

I don't think it has anything to do with morals. I think it's more a lack of common sense. And yes, irresponsible. I always say, whenever another person is perfect, then they can dictate to me. If she offends you, I would tell her that. That should shut her up.

It's totally irresponsible. Morals are a matter of opinion. Common sense, on the other hand, is something too many people seem to be lacking.

Yes I think it is very irresponsible. Dogs and kids rely on us to provide for them and take care of them, and they are helpless if we fail in doing that.

I think that person should look in their own back yard before dictating to others. If you can not afford children stop having them, and if you can't afford kids, how in the heck can you afford a dog???

Ideally, a person should be responsible for themselves first. Then they can move on to being responsible for others. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen that way all the time.
