Most countries don't do dog counts, so it would impossible to tally the World's dogs..
there are dogs in every country..Theree are more breeds that we are unfamiliar with, than breeds that we know..

This would be very difficult to even estimate as no one has any way of knowing how many wild dogs exist in wilderness areas

That's impossible to know. Simply because there are so many stray dogs that impregnate each other and have puppies who also are strays. Dogs are not documented and would be impossible to do so.

Umm...assuming dat every1 owns at least 2 dogs.so prolly u get d worldwide population.and dat cld include stray dogs as well (bcause not evry1 owns a dog)so u do the math.

17,000,000,000

That figure comes from the International Bureau of Canine Statistics (IBCS).

Oh, the IBCS is a brand new agency, created 30 seconds ago by me.

how about over 1 billion, because people don't spay/neuter, have litters of pups, etc. Oh and cant' forget the millions of puppy mill dogs that are churned out each day.
