If you owned a cat I might answer your question, what java and 11 have to do with anything baffle me.

Depends on the cat. Cats are like women you can never tell what they will do. My aunt had one that was about 14 and he takes off for a day or two then comes back. He has been known to stay gone for a week. My cats are too lazy to go far.

If you live in a closed (gated) residential community, the chances are that you will be able to find your cat again... In my area... cats are everywhere. If you don't the best thing you can do is hope and put up signs for Lost Cat. Good Luck.

I hope she comes home. Most cats do the same day or after a couple of days but if she is scared and new to her surroundings she might not.

I would hope that she would ... but she may be scared or lost.

You can talk to neighbors, put food out for her, put posters up, check with your SPCA, and post a LOST ad in the paper and on Craigslist.

This is a great reason to microchip your cats ... even if they are "inside only" cats .... things like this can happen.

Java, dear .... come on home! (purrrrrrrrrrrrr)

Nope, sometimes older cats run off to die in private. Was Java sick? If not, depending on how long she was gone, I'd say she'll show up again. Unless something happened to her.
