I don't think that is something you want to do. Wild birds can injure you or you can really injure them. Not to mention many wild birds carry a varity of dieases. If you really want a swan then contact a breeder of them so you can get a young healthy one that is used to people.

If you're in the UK or Netherlands, DONT!
The swans in these countries are property of the Royal families, and anyone caught catching or harming them will get arrested.
I'm not joking, this is the serious truth!
Anyways, you shouldn't catch wild animals, it is cruel, and they will hurt you. Swans are viscous and have been known to attack bathers.
Don't do it!

Why? They aren't good for eating, they aren't just a white goose. If you want a swan for a pet, and you want it so badly and can provide for it, just go buy one, there are people who sell them. Capturing animals from the wild for captivity is inhumain, how would you like it if I drove up to you, grabbed you off the street, and shuved you into a cage.

Don't, they are the Queen's birds and you can get arrested for doing something like that. Plus a swan can cause you serious damage with their wings and beaks. Don't do something so stupid and cruel.

i am the expert at catching swans ive captured 10 in the past week.. all i do is do the swan call and they flock to me and then you gently hit them on the head and knock them out and then take them home.
