i saw this lady with a small plastic kennel and had about 8 - 10 pugs all squeezed into it. they didn't seem comfortable. What should I do if i see this again? Please help.

This has only happened twice before, once about two months ago, and once last night. My westie is about 8 months old and when this happens he looks very distressed and tries to bark at me but all that comes out is a honking noise, much like a duck. The first time it happened i thought that he had swollowed something and it was stuck in his windpipe, but after inspecting him he was fine, and he stoped after a while and was fine. It really scared me, but it didnt happen again so I forgot about it. Then last night the same thing happened, he looked very scared and distressed and was trying to bark at me, but all that came out was a honking noise. then he vomited a large amount, and was fine after that. I heard from someone that it is sometimes typical for small dogs wind pipes to collapse, and this is nomal. But it dosent sound normal to me and I am worried for the little guy. If it is his windpipe collapsing, it sounds serious to me, you kind of need the wind to go in and out.

I was recently messaged by someone (I won't name names) who told me it's "known" that cats and kittens shouldn't be fed raw meat because of possible parasites....and because it could make the cat more aggressive. While the latter just seems silly to me, the former is what I want to address (I tried to reply to this person privately, but the email address hasn't been confirmed, so it wouldn't go through).

It's true that some vets and nutrition experts advise against feeding pets raw meat because of the possibility of parasitic infection. But still others recommend it as the best way to give your animal proper nutrition. Therefore, it is not a "known fact" that it shouldn't be done, it's simply a matter of opinion. I myself am squeamish around raw meat, so if my cats DO get any of their raw meat patties (from Nature's Variety) it's because my husband prepared it for them. I stick with canned food because, in my opinion, it's a hell of a lot healthier than dry kibble.

well my cat is half wild. she doesnt let anybody go near her alot. she is very caring when she wants to be. she is about 11yrs old and the last time we brought her to the vet she went mad and started attacking everyone. what can do, i'm really worried. i think she might be ill but we are not sure if it her age or something worse

Ok..I need to give some background information before I can ask the question... My 19 year old cousin had a baby at the end of July. She has been having my mother watch her, my mom is a stay at home wife/mother. The only people in my moms house are her, my step father and my 18 year old brother, so no children. Well she also has 2 cats, one that stays in all the the and the other is always outside and she has 2 dogs. Well lately she has been noticing a pee smell in the living room, where she has the babys bed at. Well this morning she was cleaning up, hasn't had the baby in a few days, and noticed that the babys bed smelt of pee, really bad and that the couch too smelt badly of pee, the other place the baby is frequently at. Now the question, could my moms 3 year old cat, male-but fixed, or the 2 dogs, both fixed one 1 1/2 and the other 8, but dogs aren't allowed on furniture, could they be peeing in the babies bed because they are jealous? Why and which one could it be?

I set it up 2 days ago and its already foggy, no fish in it. 10 gallon, used tank but I cleaned it properly. I have blue rocks in it that are new but i didn't wash them. I have a new filter. The light is old and i turned it on yesterday for 6 hours. I added bacteria supplement and water conditioner. It wasnt foggy yesterday, it is today. My other 10 gallon tank that i set up also has new rocks but there colorful while the other tanks is darkblue. It is not foggy. O Nly the one with the filter is, Help please, what shoudl i do?
