NO....if you choose to consistantly change their brand of food you are asking for severe digestive problems. A dog's system is not like a human beings where we can eat different items. If you want to give your dog something different, do NOT change their food, UNLESS it had alot of fillers or corn meal....that's bad for any dog. Give them raw hide bones, make them Satin Balls, it is made out of things we eat, and it is a good treat especially as a training reward. It helps keep their coat in good condition as well. BUT do NOT change their foods!!! (Unless it has the excessive by-products, fillers, or corn meal. Nutro is a good food...PURINA is one of the worst you can feed your pet, as is Iams.

I am including the link to the Satin Balls recipe, and for Nutro...

Good luck!!!

Dogs are not people and no, they do not get bored with the same food every day. In fact, if you keep changing their food you are going to have dogs with constant runs. Do you really think that could possibly be good for them?

OK, they might be "Bored," but actually pets (dogs and cats) have very sensitive stomachs. It is not wise to feed them different foods all the time. Some table scraps are OK here and there, but if you are constantly changing their diet, you could potentially cause very painful digestive and stomach problems for your furry friend!

okay- we don't need to humanize the pet. That's not a requirement to "love" them.

My cat has eaten the same thing every day for fourteen years.
My last cat ate the same thing for twenty one years.
They both get treats at times, yet, they are normal size and healthy, happy and it is just old fashioned "cat food" nothing special or fancy!

They are great pets and I love them. I have to remember that they are animals and not humans, so we must treat and relate to them as such. Human love is wonderful, yet not always the healthiest.

No. It is better to feed dogs the same food everyday. Otherwise their stomachs get upset and they can get diarrhea.

Yes. Dumb people say, "If you give them variety, they'll be finicky". Its the same way with people. If you had access to only one food, you would eat it when you got desparate enough. But given choices, you turn your nose up at some and wait for something better. So dogs are like us, but some people dont care how bored they are with their food.

Sure they do. That's why they're so excited by the sounds of a treat (shaking the pouch, opening the cupboard, etc.).
Wouldn't you be happy to recieve something extra tasty on an otherwise routine day? I sure would!!

I think so, i mean why wouldn't they? I give my dog variety of treats so that she doesn't get bored, but her main meals stay the same. good question.
