If its salt water buying a butterfly fish such as a raccoon or long nose works great. They eat them like potato chips. Using copper (which can be found at any local fish store) is an inexpensive way to kill them in fresh or salt water. (be careful though it will kill any invertebrates that you have such as snails and shrimp)

Sounds like the same type of thing as planaria. They really aren't parasites, just organisms in a family known as "Flatworms". They live on their own and feed on waste and decaying animals. Change 25% of the water right asway with a gravel vacuum as soon as you can and don't feed your fish for a few days, they will eat them instead. Cut down haow much your feed your tank form now on. The "gravel critters" can't exist if there isn't leftovers for them. We all overfeed from time to time. We just have to be prepared to clean up after ourselves when we do.
