I have a little worm in my tank. It looks like fish poop, a dark red color and almost an inch long. I have a 55gal fresh water tank with cichlids in it. I stirred up the rocks, and a few hours later there was what I thought was a piece of fish poop floating around...but it was swimming! It was about an inch long and freaky as can be! Like poop that came alive! Anyone got any ideas what it could be or where it could've came from??? Thanks, The poop-worm pet owner

my parakeets fight alot. so i split them up. but when their seperate they act like their sad or depressed. so i feel bad, put them together, and they fight some-more.
is this normal??

My dog has been itching and scratching herself like crazy. Also biting on parts of herself and licking. I think she has allergies, this just started up when the weather changed here. Fall is approaching so I have a feeling things are bothering her now. Is it allergies?

Hi,
A friend at work was told he needs to pay $250 to get his dog neutered. I think this is high. I would expect $175, or so, to be more reasonable. I will be taking my dog in to be spayed in two weeks. Anyone know what the average prices are for a spay and a neuter?

I am feeding her Purina ONE, it was given to me by the humane society where I adopted her, a big 12 lb. bag. I am gonna use it up of course, but I would like to ween her out of that and put her on something with higher quality. What do you recommend? She's 3 months old, lab/hound mix.

My cat recently found one of my roomates puppies "nylabones" and absolutely loves it. Although he usually just pushes it around he does occasionally chew on it and i'm just wondering if anyone knows for sure whether it's safe for him or not. It's the flexible plastic bone, not the edible ones. I've contacted the company but haven't heard back from them so I was hoping for some input on here. Thanks!

I have two oscars that get along generally well and I am hoping they are male/female though outwardly it is hard to tell they are approx. one and a half years to two years old and lived in the same tank since they were the length of a little finger Is there any way from the appearance to sex this breed? I'm worried if I muck with temp. changes it could alter their nature Mostly they get on apart from a bit of push and shove ,nothing like I have seen in tanks with adult male/male Help if you can thanks

My 14 year old daughter has decided she wants a pet ferret. All I know about them is what they look like and nothing more and it is about the same for her. Can anyone give us some websites that would give information on caring for them or even some advice. All I know is someone said to get a female because it doesn't stink as bad, is this true? Please any help we are going to get it next week.

I have a bunny and even though she has never been outside since she was born.. she somehow ended up with fleas.. and our apartment we brought her into never even had fleas, but now she has them.. and we have put flea powder on the floors, vacuumed the carpets and curtains, swept and sprayed flea stuff all over the wood floors, sprayed behind corner, washed blankets, set off bug bombs.. and we still have fleas. we do not have them so bad that you can see them on her, but i am very sensitive to insect bites, and have been getting a few lately. i actually seen a flea on my neck when i was driving in my car, and ended up with a welk on my neck. now here is what i am wanting to know.... is there a natural way to get rid of fleas?? because all of the chemicals gave me a headache, and my apartment is small with no ventilation.. and i cannot afford an exterminator... i am also wondering whether salt water sprayed around the apartment would kill them? or spraying a bleach water mix around?

i found him when he was 3 weeks or so old (all alone) between hurricane katrina and rita and hand nursed him untill weened....well i got him fixed as soon as i could (about 2 months old) and i wounder why he humps my pillow?? i have never seen such a thing ....i figured i fixed him before he ever had testostaron in his system...
