My little black male kitten saw himself in a mirrored closet door and jumped in the air, so I named him Boo and because his fur is sooo very soft I added a last name and he is now Boo Velvet. Close to your name too!!

Hmmm, how about something unique? Viper, Suede, or Ninja maybe? I have a black male cat, his name is "Darkside". I got him when he was 3 y/o, he had that name already, but it fits him well :) (The guy my husband and I got the cat from was a fan of Star Wars, who'd have thought!)

A friend has a beautiful black cat called 'Diablo' - it really suits him. They're in Australia, so I don't think you'd have any trouble with anyone using the same name... That said, with my pets I try to get a sense of who they are and name them with what feels right.
