2. Do you trim your pets nails/claws your self or do you have a vet do it?

3. If there was a nail/claw trimming serves in your area would you use it?

The collared aracari http://www.fotoreiseberichte.de/costarica/cr_04_235.htm

or the Green Aracari
http://www.nashvillezoo.org/piciformes/ramphastidae.htm#green_aracari

I am thinking of one as a pet.

Their personality and behavior is almost the same.

I would be happy with either one.

The only difference is the collared aracari is 2 inches bigger and is less colorful.

My beagle Katie is getting close to full grown and her current crate is a bit small, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on crate sizes for a mature Beagle.

Is a pet rabbit always friendly? Does it like being touched and held? Is it the kind of pet that can sit with you while you watch tv?

Number one horses can be total knuckle heads and need an attention grabber. Two- their skulls are so think you can't possibly hurt them in that manner anyhow. Three - that scene from the movie is B.S.

I recently adopted a female cat who was abanded by a bunch of girls. She is mainly an indoor cat except this past weekend I brought her to my parents house where she accidently got outside. Now that she is back in my apartment she cries everytime I leave in the morning. Normally I wouldn't care but I have not broken the news to my landlord (who may not be a fan that she is there) yet so I am trying to keep her on the DL. I love her tremendously and I am not going to give her up. I was just wondering is there anything I can do in the morning to keep her from crying once I leave?

I have two adult cats. My female vomits after eating about 75% of the time. They are both indoor family pets. They always have fresh water and I feed them twice a day. Wet food at night and dry food in the morning. Their dry food usually lasts all day. At night I dump it in the trash and give them wet food. She vomits no matter what she eats.

Can anyone tell me why she does this and what can I do to correct it. I'm tired of cleaning cat puke and scrubbing the carpet!

He is going to be a year old in August, 14 pounds (very small for this breed) and I was told no one would want to use him as a stud because he is so small.I paid almost $500 for him,he is beautiful solid black, very good personality and wonderful companion, very friendly and lovable, somewhat hyper, but all cockers are.Should I have him neutered or spend more money on a female and breed them myself, and take the chance of being able to seel the puppies?

We recently moved and our neighbors let their pit bull dog run loose on a daily basis. When we first moved in I let them know that my family is afraid of the dog. They continued to let the dog run loose. I confronted them again concerning the dog when he agressively came toward me and my son while mowing the lawn. Both times they immediately apologized and restrained the dog. I reserached the leash laws here in Desoto, TX and wrote a letter on 06/07/06 to my neighbors and Animal Control. I had planned to send it, but they began restraing the dog and I felt it was unecessary and that maybe the situation was under control. Well, for the past 5 days the dog has been loose. He chased my son on his bike. He chased my brother-in-law to his car. Should I go ahead and contact Animal Control, or send the letter. I am really at my ropes end and thought about shooting the dog. Somebody please give me some advice.

I bought a beautiful male red betta w/ white fins from Wal-mart...I also bought a blue/red female...she is very full of eggs, and he has built a bubble nest...I have them in a "double breeding" tank (removable partition)..(the tank is the size of a regular hex tank that you can buy at Wal-mart)...with the partition in, he courts her(spreading fins and wiggling), and she watches w/vertical lines on her body...when I remove it, he attacks her and her lines become horizontal...is this mating behavior? Is the tank to small? I have a fake plant in "her" side of the tank for her to hide behind. Any suggestions? Any GOOD books on mating behavior? HELP! I don't want him to kill her. Any info will help.

my 4 month old kitten was a stray that was brought in to the SPCA before I adopted him. it doesn't matter where he is or what he's doing in the house, every time he hears a door to outside open up, he comes running. I know that probably him being a stray has a lot to do with it. but he's ran out in the garage twice and I had to catch him. I don't make him wear a collar because the SPCA implanted a microchip inside him. how can I keep him from trying to go outside all the time. he has toys and my older cat to play with. it's just that he's curious of whats out there. I'm NOT going to put him out there either!! I want him to be and indoor kitty like my 2 year old female is. I'm just scared that he's going to slip away and not come back. I live in a huge neighborhood so I don't know what my neighbors would do if they saw a cat without a collar. Please Help. Is there anything I can do? will he grow out of this in a couple of months?
