Number one horses can be total knuckle heads and need an attention grabber. Two- their skulls are so think you can't possibly hurt them in that manner anyhow. Three - that scene from the movie is B.S.

I agree that it's B.S. Especially since the horse racing world is getting so bent out of shape here. Lets look at the logic: Alright now to win the race whip the hell out of the horse - seems ok to horse racing fans. However, to head but that's abuse. The logic doesn't make sense.

I think it's wrong. A horse's nose is a very sensitive spot.

Secondly, every being makes mistakes. Violence is not usually the way to discipline, I'm inclined to say never. My idea of how to tame or train a horse is more in line with My Friend Flicka and The Horse Whisperer.

What film? don' assume that we all watch the same films. Please someone include the title of the film. Even if it was acted and not done, it's not funny.

No its not ok. But in my opinion nor are spurs. Lounging whips are not to hit horses with. They are used to make a snap sound in the air and get the horses attention. I've had horses for many years and they have never done anything to deserve to be whipped. Time and patience wins over any day.

I think him pulling on the horses mouth and jerking his mouth around probably hurt him worse than head butting him.
People are just looking for a BS excuse to raise caine about this...
Maybe they should stop training race horses to run the way they do and work as hard as they do at 18 months old. Now THAT is cruel!

...Number 1: If you ever have a horse,I hope someone's bright enough to call the ASPCA on you. No horse needs hit in the soft muzzle with AN ENGLISH RIDING CAP,just for being 'stupid'.

Number 2: He didn't hit the skull. Watch it carefully. The tip of the cap SMASHES the poor horse's soft nose. Ow.

Number 3: I hope it's bullshit.

It's never ok to lose your temper with an animal and try to inflict pain, but I don't think that headbutting that horse's chest caused him any physical pain. 90 lbs vs 900 lbs. It probably startled him though. Horses do sometimes need a wake up call, but I prefer the use of spurs or bit pressure.

No i do not agree. From experience we bought an abused horse and the people we where buying him from were trailering him. When they were leading him on the trailer they beat and pulled on his head so much it, infact DID cause brain damage. I don't think any animal should be abused in anyway. If anybody should be getting hit in the head it would be you. But then again that maybe your problem.

the only reason this have been given interest exchange into with the aid of finished Zidane element. particular, it wasn't the neatest or maximum effectual punishment, yet enable's settle for it, the pony exchange into appearing up. Plus, like somebody mentioned, the pony did no longer even seem to care/observe. i'm definitely extra suitable than happy no action exchange into taken against the jockey, that could have been ridiculous.

Okay, let me counter your question with this one.

If you think that it's okay what the jockey did, then this should be okay with you too.

Does anyone else think it is okay for a bull to head butt a 'stupid person'? They too, stupid people, need an attention grabber.

Consider yourself head-butt!
