My dog (a nine-year-old border collie) is so afraid of rain, wind, and thunder storms that he will literally destroy the house in an attempt to "escape." We can NOT control him at this time. We recently moved to a new house, where his behavior has become worse. He has torn holes in walls and destroyed the washer-dryer hookups (leading to some flooding) during recent thunderstorms. Is there anything that can be done? We can't leave the dog alone for fear it may storm while we're gone, and my dad is threatening to have him put down!

my family just got a mountain cur puppy that`s currently about 2 months old. whenever we go out to play with her, she bites and ruins our pants, and tries biting our wrists and everything! my friend was over yesterday and we were playing with her, and she big her so hard on my friends leg that she was bleeding! i highly doubt she has rabies, but the reason we got a female mountain cur was so she wouldnt be way too aggressive, but she is!!!! she keeps biting and i used all the techniques to train her to stop but when you tell her and do the technuiques she just growls and bites you harder and wont let go of your leg/ pants!!!!! and it hurts! what`s wrong with her?? my brothers are already scared to even go near her!

I am not sure whether she is really sick or nervous. I have her for three weeks now. She is a 2 1/2 yr old Australian Shepherd. Our cat got shut in the bedroom where we keep her crated. They do not like each other much. I thought maybe it was her nerves, but I walked her and she is still pooing runny and green! My hubby confessed he gave her chicken 2 days ago. Can that be the culprit? Please write back. This is not a joke!

Has anyone ever seen baby box turtles anywhere in Virginia? 10 points to whoever tells me where to find them. And don't bother telling me not to take them out of the wild, because I wont.

Help!! I found a cute cricket in my living room who seems to have gotten into the house from our garden. The problem is that when I was trying to take him back out he ran and hid under the stairs. You see, I don't want to kill him, I like crickets! But I'm afraid my hamster can eat it since he's nearby, again I can't have a cricket living under my stairs, Can I?
How can I take him out without causing him any harm?

My puppy just got his last booster on Monday morning. I have heard that it takes 5-14 days for the vaccine to work. Is it okay to take him this Sunday to play with my mother-in-law's dog? I want to start socializing him more, but I don't want him to get sick.

My dog is a small hyper dog. When I come home from work she gets very excited and jumps and tries to lick me. Soon she calms down. I always thought this was natural for a hyper dog. And also that she could be trained to not jump. I have been told that she is a very bad dog. Is this true?

I am needing to go on vacation and I have heard of people who have left their cat home alone for long weekends with plenty of water, food, and litter boxes in several rooms of the house. I don't know that my cat would do well boarded in a kennel and thought she'd like it better at home. What is the longest you have left your cat home alone and how did your cat do? Any other tips on how to make it best for the cat and for you when you return?

Our two British Short haired cats are very hissy. One of the cats flat out attacked her, chased her, and pinned her in behind the couch. British short hairs are supposed to be non aggresive, but ours are very territorial. How can I properly introduce the cats? Any articles online on the subject?
