He claims to be allergic, but it is more like we have a new house and he doesn't want the cat hair in it, or the litter box, or the scratched furniture.

the morning of tuesday (18/07/06)
The poeple of kenya were shocked with news which appeared in their daily newsletters about a standard one pupil called Allan Kariuki who was attacked by over ten dogs who mauled, killed and eat him, the remains were saved by neighbors who heard the barking of the dogs, and when the reached to find out what was being torn by the canines they were horrified to find that he was an 8 years old boy who has been already killed and was being eaten by the dogs
So far the authorities in kenya have only baited and killed by injection about 12 dogs within the area ( Upper Matasia a suburban of Nairobi City) where the boy was mauled
Sources still indicate that the majority of poeple in kenya who owns dogs do not keep them in their kennells. Thus there are a lot ot stray and loiterig dogs in kenya still posing a danger to small children in all towns and cities of kenya,
The kenyan government should order all dogs kennelled or loitering ones shot dead.

My dog is a Havanese, albeit quite a big one. From tail to butt he is about 17" and from his shoulders down he stands about 13" tall. His total length is 23" (from nose to butt in a laying down) and when he sits he is about 17" tall from the top of his head to the ground. He weighs 18 pounds. I am trying to find a soft carrier that can be used on the plane but mostly for other traveling purposes (train, car, etc.) but am having trouble understanding what bags my dog will fit in. The smaller the better but I want him to be comfy. have found a larger sized carriers, including Celltei's Pak-o-Pet(http://www.celltei.com/accafpa.html), Jet Set Dogbag (http://www.sitstay.com/store/equip/shpa1.shtml), and Sturdibag (although this doesn't look as sturdy as the other bags to me). I am aware of airline regulations - what I am most interested in knowing is the size/weight of your dog, what brand of carrier you use and its size, and your experience with that type of carrier. Thank you very much

I just heard on the radio that cats are being diagnosed as having passive agressive personalities and that vetrenarians are prescribing prozac to the Cats! I am not kidding! This is not a joke!
Is your cat on prozac?

The methods already used have been quite varied: scrubbing down with a bleach solution; mothballs (which are successful but dissolve in the rain); proprietary 'Get Off' type products and an ultrasonic cat repeller (which one cat went up to and licked!) They still keep coming back and in this hot weather it smells disgusting, apart from the unpleasant daily task of collecting and disposing of the poo! There is no soil at all in the affected area to put any sticks or rods into the ground - it is all concreted or slabbed. Anyone know anything that has been effective, as we may lose a tenant because of it?

The picture is on my icon at the side. The rings at the bottom where the reins attach move freely and are not fastened. There is a place for the curb strap/chain. The shanks swivel both ways. The length of the shanks is aobut 6 1/2 inches long with a 6 inch mouth piece. I think this bit is an english style bit but I may be wrong. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

I have 2 cats, one is a tabby (male) and he was born in October 1998, hes a little on the chubby side but I dont think he is overweight. My vet said he's pretty healthy for that age.
My other cat is a Javanese(similar to siamese) born in July of 2000. She is a bit of a runt and pretty skinny(eats GREAT though) and had a few skin problems from mites, etc. But that's pretty much it.
Both are all-time inside cats. What would you say their life expectancy would be?
