That is phytoplankton (freshwater, floating algae). Try planting a few live plants of java moss that will feed off the same nitrates in your water and out-compete it.

the green is algae. if you've got 2 bottom feeders, well, i'd say for a 10gal tank you only need one. just keep the tank away from direct sunlight; or if you have a tank light, turn it off at night to prevent further algae growth. don't feed your fish too much, and don't add any more algae eaters to combat the problem. give them time and let them do their job. only clean the tank once every couple weeks too, taking out no more than 2/3 of the water in the tank.
if you're still having problems, go to a petstore and buy one of those water testing kits where it tests for 5-6 different water levels on one strip. this could give you an indication of a ph balance, alkalinity, or nitrate/nitrite imbalance.
good luck!

the plants and light suggestions are great suggestions. Also, get some actual "algae eaters" or snails and not just bottom feeders. Bottom feeders such as the cory and sometimes the plecos eat mainly scraps of food and such and don't actually get too much of the algae.

Sounds like algae to me. If you fish tank is in sunlight that is probably why. Dont worry nothing is wrong with the fish tank. It is natural for algae to grow in sunlight or heat. You can just wipe it right off with a sponge. But it is also good to leave some in there because the fish actually eat it and it is good for them.
