I've heard that almost most cats love catnip. my male kitten likes to play with his catnip toys but every time my other cat sees a catnip toy she goes and sniffs it and just walks away. I guess it just depends on her personality but I think it's kind of odd that she doesn't like it. any suggestions? I'm just wandering.

I've been buying puppy pads and they don't seem to work too well and they are expensive. Does anyone know of a brand that is worth the money spent?

hey everyone i bought a few days ago a female gecko 3 years old, ofcourse after a big research about this animal.

but along my journey at the web and pet stores i havnt found a concretic answares about some questions so you are my last option.

as i mentioned before my gecko is 3 years old and she looks very healthy her tail is really fat. i tried to fed her about 5 times and the biggest amount of crickets she ate at one time was only 2 so i am a little worried and if you can tell me an aproximately range of crickets number they should eat at one time i will thank you.

the second issue that bothers me is the heating. i keep hearing a lot of ideas about it bug none seem good. so please tell me from your experience what is the recomended way of heating please.

thanks anyway, gal

that has FIV? My cat has had it all her life and we are looking to get another cat for her companion. The only problem is that in my area they kill all FIV+ cats when caught, the closest place is 1.5 hours from me and they want ALOT of money for their cats.
So I guess my question is if anyone has FIV+ cats with heathy cats? My vet said it is not recommended but I read all over the Net that said it can be done.
I dont want to infect another cat but my cat is lonely!! I need advice and no stupid remarks about putting my cat to sleep becuase that is NOT an option!

I know of a dog that accidentally became impregnated by a stray dog of another breed. I have been told that the pure breed female can no longer be used for pure breedng in the future. This makes no sense to me. Is it true?

I have a 12 gal Eclipse system tank, planted with a ton of live java ferns. I have it decorated with wood and natural colored gravel mixed with laterite.
For fish, I have one honey gourami, 4 glow-lite tetras and 3 ottos. The ottos seem to be keeping the plant leaves clean, but not the glass.
I have the flourescent lighting on in the tank for about 8hrs a day, and I have a lot of black hair algae and green algae on the glass. Thanks!

Mine is when our lab was a puppy he took to licking the electrical outlets. my wife used to yell at him to stop. I on the other hand knew what he was in for. sure enough that puppy got shocked big time knocked him out for a little while. did her learn his lession?
you bet! seven years later he will have a flash back and bark like mad at the evil electrical wall outlets

This pisses me off to no end...they have tons of animals right? they are overcrowded right? so when they adopt out say a half labrador half beagle they set the adopt fee at 45 or 50 bucks that includes spay and all that stuff, then they will get in a full blood boston terrier or any other breed and try to charge upwards of 400 dollars to adopt the dog just cause it is purebred! what a load! it doesnt cost anymore to fix a purebred than a mutt so why the hike in price? the dog doesnt come with papers either so still why the price? and in alot of cases the adoption fee far exceeds what one would pay were they buying a new puppy of the same breed, and of coarse this puppy would come like "new" without god only knows what kind of past or abuse or neglect. so I ask you what makes these rescues think it is correct to charge higher rates for purebred dogs? they didnt pay anything to get the dog in thier rescue it was handed to them just like the mixed dogs. Seems money hungry to me.

I have a pair of 8 year old males (fixed/brothers) that really get along very well about 90% of the time. They usually have their daily fight, once again usually caused by the same cat, until one of them cries. Should I try to prevent the fighting or just let them go at it?

I would like to look at the REAL papers, forms and other documents my cat needs; to find out how to fill them up correctly.
Is it necessary to get any kind of "entry permit" for my cat in the British embassy in my country? Or veterinary papers are enough?
