No. This is absolutely not true...not even biologically possible. The female's genes were not changed when she was bred by another breed of dog...she's still the same kind of dog she always was. If bred to a dog of the same breed, she will produce puppies of that breed, regardless.
ADDED: Just reading some of the other responses...LOL! No, she will not be "ruined" -- how is that even possible? Good lord, where do people get this stuff?
And it wouldn't matter if she were male or female. Breeding to a dog of another breed will leave no lasting "black mark" -- real or imagined -- on a dog, other than any puppies resulting from that one cross-breeding being mixed. That's it.

Going with 'Loki' on this one... Good answer!
*Some* people see it as a scandalous black mark upon their b*tch. You know, like having sex out of wedlock, for example...
As far as the biology and genetics go, she will continue to produce pure-bred puppies even after a mixed-breed pregnancy. The only way a female can have a mixed litter is if she breeds with more than one male during the same cycle. That *is* possible. Keep her away from *all* males during her cycle, and only allow her with a stud on the specific days and times that you want the breeding to occur.

Her genes may be intact but there is a possiblity that she has contracted Brucellosis. This is what is meant by this "can't be pure bred". Brucellosis is transmited by mating and/or ingestion of contaminated materials. Since it is contagious you can not mate your dog to any other dogs (her breed or not).
Brucellosis makes females abort pups & can destroy a breeding program. Studs will transit from female to female. There is no vaccine or cure. Often seen in dogs that are kept in kennels or exposed to livestock.
Knowledgeable breeders will not allow a mating unless both dogs are tested. Yes, your female can be ruined.

Sure it can. It's not like a year later, if she is bred with a pure dog of the same breed that she's going to have puppies from the previous experience..

Yorkie mom +yorkie dad = yorkie pups
Yorkie mom+ stray dad = mixed pups
the pure breed mom can be used for breeding with other pure breeds of the same breed and produce pure breed pups even after pure breed mom has mixed breed pups if mom and dad is tested for doggie STDs

The mother dog remains to be pure breed but her babies from the pregnancy with another breed dog will be mixed.
Another time when you want to breed your pure bread dog with her own kind you will be able to sell her puppies as pure breed.

Yes, its true. For whatever reason - maybe someone can explain it - if a registered female mates with a dog of another breed, mutt, or 'less desirable' then she's considered 'ruined'.

It'd be different if she were a sire. Buts she's not, she's the mother. Iam pretty sure that it matter more with the male than the female.
You can check with the kennel clubs, they will be able to tell you.
