They are probably tape worms, if they are short, white and look like rice. When they dry up, they will look like seasme seeds. Just call the vet and tell them that is what you have. Odds are the pup also has round worms, and hook worms, so you want a good general wormer. You give one dose now, and another dose in 3 weeks to kill any that remain. Most vets, if you have seen them in the past, do not require an office visit to get the wormer. They just need to know the weight of the puppy. If you don't want to see a vet, you can buy worming products at Petsmart, but they are not as affective as what the vet can get you.

They're not maggots, they are worms, and you need to get a fresh stool sample and your puppy to the vet asap for the right treatment. Don't but the worming stuff in the grocery or a pet store. It's not good, and there are different types of medicine for different types of worms.

While dogs and cats do get maggots if they have untreated wounds to which flies have access in the summer, your puppy more likely has tapeworms. They get tapeworms by eating a flea containing the tapeworm eggs. Tapeworms look like grains of cooked white rice and are usually still moving when you see them in the poo.

Call your vet and ask about tapeworm medicine. I'm sure your puppy will be fine.

They're probably not maggots, but worms. Take him to the vet ASAP with a fecal sample and the vet will determine what action to take.

If the little worms look like a grain of rice then it's probably tapeworm larva. they come from dogs that ingest fleas infected with them. you will have to go to the vet and get a pill.. it's also very important that you de-flea your home to prevent re-infestation. in three weeks you will need to repeat the process to make sure they are all gone.. people can also catch tapeworms from dogs.. be careful cleaning up after your puppy.

If they look like rice, they're tapeworms. Take a FRESH stool sample to your vet so that they can do a fecal float (although sometimes it's hard to see tapeworm eggs under the microscope) and they can see if he has any other parasites as well. If he does, they'll give you medication to get rid of everything and they will probably want another sample after treatment.

It could be serious. You should go to a vet, or get your parents to take the dog to a vet, and check it out. It is not normal at all. It could be something it has been eating, cause a dog normally use half the time a human use to digest something, therefor it want die, even if going through a dog.

It sounds like he's got Tapeworm, they look like little maggots, and they are segments of a Tapeworm that crawls out of their butts and can be in their poop. They are spread mainly by fleas. You need to get some Panacur wormer for him.

If you think, from the above descriptions, that you have tape then Panacur will not kill them. Panacur will get rid of round, hook, or whip worm.
You need to buy Praziquantel for tapeworm. They sell it at most of the larger pet stores.
