That means she's in heat. Keep her inside and away from male dogs.

I hate to sound "uppity" but if you can't spell Chihuahua, you probably shouldn't be breeding them . . . please have her spayed ASAP . . . the typcal canine heat cycle lasts ****3 WEEKS**** not 4 or 5 days! Keep her confined during this time . . . the discharge will usually start out as a bloody fluid which lasts about a week, then the discharge will turn to a clear or only slightly pink-tinged substance (this is when they can get pregnant) which lasts about 2 more weeks. The 2nd week of the heat cycle is when the dog is usually in "standing heat" and will accept males . . . please don't breed her . . . waaaayyy risky, these little guys have a high incidence of having to have C-sections ($$$$$) and are a high risk pregnancy at best. You could end up losing all of the puppies as well as the momma, so unless it would just be criminal to lose her genes from the Chihuahua gene pool, have her spayed.

Her heat will last three weeks.... at least.... please have her spayed and she will live a much happier healthier life. As will you without the risks involved with having an intact female dog in your home.
I once knew a lady who had a 110lb lab break through her sliding glass door to get to her Yorkie who was in heat... the huge dog nearly killed the little dog and bit the woman who was trying to save her tiny pet.

in animals this is called heat. the bleeding usualy last for a few days but she will breed with males after the blood stops and turns to straw or clear disharge.
this is all normal but she will attract every male in the area to her so it is best to get her spayed if you dont want hey getting pregnant (posibly a larger dog if one gets to her)
you would be suprised what lenghts a male dog will go to to mate.
