Help!! I found a cute cricket in my living room who seems to have gotten into the house from our garden. The problem is that when I was trying to take him back out he ran and hid under the stairs. You see, I don't want to kill him, I like crickets! But I'm afraid my hamster can eat it since he's nearby, again I can't have a cricket living under my stairs, Can I?
How can I take him out without causing him any harm?

Hey I really like your Hamster, Anyways I don't want you to kill the cricket either, So you should try very hard to CATCH IT. Before as you have said your hamster get it. Just call him Jimmy and talk to it and tell him that you are trying to help him stay alive so come come and be saved. LOL

Leave the cricket alone, it will either find a way out of the house or eat creatures you don't want in your house anyhow. If your hamster ate it that would be weird because hamsters are not carnivores, (unless you count when they eat their children??)

Syrian hamsters do eat bugs. As for the cricket, if he can run like the wind he's more likely to be a cockroach.

well, crickests are good luck so I can understand why you would want to preserve him, but aren't hamsters vegetarians? I don't think hamsters eat bugs

you can eat it your self & it wan't harm it the acids in your stomac will kill him or her quickly
