because cats and women are quite the same and we both understand each other. when we dont have a man to love we go for a cat to make a feel happy again but on the other hand when men feel lonely they go for the dog to be happy again. that is why they call dogs mans best friend.to me i hate dogs. except one. and that is my dads. i have 3 cats. hopefully i dont die an old age with no man and a house full of them. but thats just an expression......hopefully.lololololololol

I think that more women own cats do to the simple fact that cats required lots of attention and women on the other hand are usually more attentive to the needs of others than men (in my opinion) So I think that is why..... Majority of the men that I know do not like cats at all....

Only a few people in the world can afford to own men. I think Oprah owns a few men. But she is really really rich.
Cats eat less and have a lower total cost of ownership.
Cats will cuddle any time.
Cats are petty and fickle just like women, so they get along quite well.

Strangely I know more men that own cats than women.

I believe cats are more in tune with themselves, just as women are usually more self aware and attuned to their own body. This allows cats and women to share their affections with the other, knowing that (like men) it wont be all take take take...

I don't know, but it just fits. Dog=man's best friend, maybe? I don't know. My dad likes the dog, and my mom likes the cat. I'm a dog person, myself.

because it is stereotypical for cats to be a women pets. i think this is sooooooooooo wrong! a guy who has a cat really shows that he is sensitive!
