I have a ferret and I let him run loose as I do with my cats he has a cage but only goes in to sleep and or if he is in trouble. About a week ago he get under the sofa and got smashed, his whole neck was being smashed by two metal bars under there, I found him and took him to the vet. The vst told me that he would be fine and that it was just going to be swollen and we gave him some shots and I gave him steriods for a couple of days its been about a week if not longer and his neck is still extremly swollen and he walks kind of funny now and is alot less active then he used to be also I find him sleeping more often and eating less, the vet kept saying he would be ok but i am still worried, any thought on what should be done now?

Lately it seems like my cat has been throwing up a lot. When I look at it, it seems like a mixture of hair and food. Sometimes it looks like he ate and then just hurled it all up. Its pretty disgusting but I am worried something could be wrong with him. =\
Any ideas??

I was excited when I saw a few babies. I even put them in a breeding net. But now I have WAY to many, like 70. They're all different ages and sizes. I was hoping the older guppies would help with the population growth, but they don't seem to mind the babies. They even ignore new ones. I have separated the males but the females are STILL having more. Do you think pet stores would want them? They're really pretty, even the females. What should I do with them all?

I live in a country where unwanted cats are left to live on the streets and cope for themselves. It always breaks my heart because they are so hungry and ill. I have adopted many in the past 21 years. Recently Cat Aids is becoming a problem here. I have adopted a lovely little kitten two weeks ago. She seems healthy and fine. However she looks very much like a stray male whom I know has the aids disease. I am so worried he might be her father. I am afraid that she might have been born with his disease. When would she start to show symptoms of it, if it were so? My vet can't answer this question and I haven't been able to access anything on the net (many sites in English do not reply to direct questions from overseas.)
Please reassure me! Thank you!

Well, here's the story. I had 2 cats outside. Xalia is the daughter of Haven. So, Xalia and another stray cat got pregnant and had kittens at around the same time. When I found Xalia's 4 kittens I brought them inside and were going to keep them inside, but Xalia died that day (from something stupid I accidentally did) (long story) So, I started caring for the kittens and they're about 3 weeks old now. I'm still feeding them with the bottle. Then, today, I found the stray cat with /her/ 4 kittens outside. Loving animals, I brought them inside. They're a bit older than Xalia's and old enough to give away. And now my other cat (the last one I have left) is pregnant AGAIN. X( So, I've got to find a home for 8 kittens. (When the younger 4 grow up) I keep telling my mom to get Haven fixed at the low cost place, but noooo, she's always too lazy to look into things. She'll do aaaall kinds of other things that /she/ wants to do, but won't help in stopping the unwanted cat population.

We found a lost dog (a mixed terrier). We have seen her attacking rabbits. We would like to know if terriers genetically attack chickens also as they attack rabbits. We don’t want our chickens to be hurt by any mean.

She had her rabies shots about a year ago and as far as i know she hasn't been bitten. But I laid out on the pool deck yesterday and brought her out with me and played with her for a bit and then noticed there was foam at her mouth!!! Is that a sign of dehydration or something? It only happens when I take her out! Is she ok?

Sweet and all that. I have put up posters in our street, but no-one has come for them. What should I do with them? Personally, I think keeping birds captive is wrong.

He goes outside all the time to go to the bathroom, but every once in a while he pees in the house for no apparent reason. Never goes #2 so I know he is potty trained.

My parents just bought a 8 week old puppy. My dog, who is 5, dosn't like her at all. He barks at her and tries to bite her if she gets close. How do i help him understand that shes not here to visit and that she's here to stay and to get along with him.

Also i would like to know how to help my other dog who dosn't care about the new puppy, not feel like she's been replaced and not get depressed.
