good friggin luck!!! my girls (kitties) always think it is punishment. they don't need bathing but maybe once or twice a year unless they are outside kitties. just do it as fast as possible and get it over with so they can hide and be mad for a little while.
GOOD LUCK.

You can actually "multitask" and clean your toilet at the same time! Here are the instructions...
Toilet Cleaning Instructions:
1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.
2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.
3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids.
You may need to stand on the lid.
4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.
5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash" and rinse".
6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.
7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.
8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off.
9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.
Sincerely,
The Dog

This can be done very simply. What you want to do is get two wet, warm washcloths. One of them should have a little liquid soap on it. While you are holding Kitty, stroke her/him with the washcloth. Now use the one without the soap, and puss will be clean and fresh! Take care. PS... If you really want to spoil the little darling, put a bathtowel in the microwave for 30 seconds for Kitty to lay on afterwards. They love it!

My cat happens to loove water so its really easy to bathe . She loves to drink from the shower too!Try pouring warm water over her and masaging it in. I usualy do this in the shower and after i wrap her up in a warm towel and give her TONS of treats! U should only bath cats about once a month or so because cats are very clean animals and bathing them wil just remove any dirt, dust, excess oils and hair. I personnaly hate those pet wipes. They just dont work. U might as well give ur cat a bath with a wet towel because the pet wipes have lots of perfumes and stuff!Good luck P.S. I only bathe my kitty in water. I dont think she needs thise fancy shampoos but if u really want to bathe her with shampoos, u should use jhonsons baby soap!
Note to self: (I think I should shutup now) LOL bye

Very carefully, most cats don't like water but it can be done. Hold the cat by the scruff with one hand and use the other to bathe. Talk sweet to your kitty and massage and scratch his favorite parts. The trick is to make it a pleasant experience and the more often you do it the more used to it he/she'll get.

We bathed our kittens from very early on, so they got used to it and even enjoyed it. My aunty used the sink instead of bath tub, so something shallow. Holding them and using loving voice at a calm, steady rate as well as classical music and pleasant smelling shampoo all helped. I think it's important to prevent any slipping by providing a barrier/fence with one hand or even hold it off the clay surface during the process. Warm but not hot water is good also. Time with kitten afterwards is important too, so it associates bath with the quality time with you afterwards.

The best way to bathe a cat is in a sink with one of those sprayers. it's smaller and makes the cat feel more secure. also, a sprayer is better than imersing the cat in water, which is much more frightening for kitty. you may also want to invest in a pair of leather gloves to protect your hands, and get someone to help you hold kitty.

You shouldn't... but you can brush baking soda through kitty's fur if you really must, dissolve soda in water, dip SOFT hairbrush and brush kitty.
It's unnecessary though unless kitty is ill or wounded, or has been separated from mama cat too early and hasn't learned to clean itself properly.
Mariah's answer is really good... but she's right... don't do this to an adult cat that hasn't been trained to water.

Warm, not hot water, gentle soap, and use small basin or sink - gentle motions, talk, no loud spray of water - Hold kitty gently but firmly and it will be unpleasant for kitty, but they seem to enjoy the after-time with warm towel -

there really is no way, unless it is a kitten. if it's a kitten, let her play in the tub with about 2 inches of water in it, and once she enjoys playing in water, then put the water higher. but not too high! then you put a box in the water to put the cat on when you are drying her. it's really the only calm way to do it. and if you want to spoil her, use cat shampoo and massage her body, the kitten will love it! oh yeah, give lots of treats!
