Science Diet is overpriced crap.
Read the ingredients panel. Look for a food that has meat or fish as the first ingredient and some type of carbohydrate as the second. Avoid foods that use any type of meat by-products or corn. These are fillers that are cheap for the dog food company and are not good for your dog.
I feed Natural Balance Venison & Brown Rice Formula. I have a 75 pound dog & I buy one 17 pound bag every 5 weeks. Wellness is another good brand.

The canned food has less nutrition than dry food. Dry is much better food.
Science Diet is not the best stuff it is full of corn and that is just cheap filler. Corn is the first ingredient in many brands of food. It should not be even in dog food. It is one of the things dogs have trouble with.
Check out www.chickensoupforthepetloverssoul.com
This is a great food and no by products or corn.
I have used it for years and my dogs look great.

As natural, meat based product with NO BY-PRODUCTS. By products are renderings of chicken lips ,dead carcases (some that are diseased) and other unwanted animal parts. While your dog/cat may like it, you are setting your dog up for disease and possibly a short life span, not to mention really smelly poop. A good dog food will reduce the amount and quantity of stool and it will have less smell because the nutrition is absorbed in the intestinal tract. Shop for it at a pet store. Paul Newman makes a natural dog food that he actually ate on Jay Leno.

Dry is best, as the canned foods can cause dental problems. If he doesn't like Science Diet, try one of the other premium brands instead. They really are much more nutritious.

My dogs like cats - and it is very inexpensive. Seriously, the wet stuff makes their poo and mouths stink worse. And a puppy should be on puppy chow by Purina - science diet is way too expensive.

dry food is best, because they clean your dogs teeth while he eats. dogs that eat only wet food are more likely to have tooth problems. whichever brand you buy, make sure it doesnt have fillers (corn or wheat)... your dogs body doesnt need these and they just pass through, ending up in your back yard!! also avoid animal by products.. these are parts of animals that cant be eaten by people ( chicken feet, beaks, bones, eyes, and cow hooves). Try diamond lamb and rice formula, it is inexpensive and has no by products or fillers!!
