He goes outside all the time to go to the bathroom, but every once in a while he pees in the house for no apparent reason. Never goes #2 so I know he is potty trained.

They sell a spray that smells very flowery and gets rid of pheromones. It is generally used when animals have accidents in the house, but if your dog is marking a lot inside, I would occassionally just spray the spots he is most likely to mark. Get him on a schedule where you take him outside every couple of hours and walk him until he is dry (he lifts his leg to pee and nothing comes out). It is tough to try to train them out of that at age 9, but you can at least try to get it under control.

Sounds like he is marking. Hard to stop that behavior at 9 years. I would get a belly band for him.

Do you know if he has any problems? or it may be behavioral, I have a cat who did that for a while, took him to the vet and they said it was only behavioral, but he stopped now, so maybe your dog will
