i found this butterfly in my garden in britain today its black and has red lines at the top of the wings and a white spot on the bottom bits of the wings. could you tell me which one it is and also the origien if u can

The butterfly you found is a red admiral.They love nettles and lay their eggs on the leaves cause the caterpillers wont eat anything else.Rde Admirals are often seen on rotting fruit sometimes the juice has fermented to alchohol and the Admiral can be seen reeling as if drunk.
