Well, here's the story. I had 2 cats outside. Xalia is the daughter of Haven. So, Xalia and another stray cat got pregnant and had kittens at around the same time. When I found Xalia's 4 kittens I brought them inside and were going to keep them inside, but Xalia died that day (from something stupid I accidentally did) (long story) So, I started caring for the kittens and they're about 3 weeks old now. I'm still feeding them with the bottle. Then, today, I found the stray cat with /her/ 4 kittens outside. Loving animals, I brought them inside. They're a bit older than Xalia's and old enough to give away. And now my other cat (the last one I have left) is pregnant AGAIN. X( So, I've got to find a home for 8 kittens. (When the younger 4 grow up) I keep telling my mom to get Haven fixed at the low cost place, but noooo, she's always too lazy to look into things. She'll do aaaall kinds of other things that /she/ wants to do, but won't help in stopping the unwanted cat population.

Now, no need to tell me how stupid I am or anything. I already feel bad about all these kittens what with the unwanted cat population like I mentioned before. But how am I supposed to give away 8 kittens? Then some /more/ kittens when Haven has hers? -_- Even if we put them in the paper (like we tried not long ago with some other kittens), not many people would call. The one's who /did/ call last time either decided not to get one, or lived too far away. I'm only 15 and can't do much without a parent's help, but my mom doesn't want to help. (And my parents are divorced, so I don't live with my dad) (Not that he'd care much more anyway) I just need a bit of advice to try to place these kittens into some good homes and stop the cats around here from having anymore. I definately don't want to bring them to the pound. They'd kill 'em. Especially Haven. Even though I'm not close to her or anything, she's still my baby, and I love her. Soooo, any advice? =/

Oh, and I can't keep them inside, either. My mum and bro are allergic. Not to mention, I'm a teeny bit allergic to them, myself.

kill the kittens yourself...then you won't feel so bad about it if someone else does it.
but seriously, not a whole lot you can do. Put a sign that says, "FREE KITTENS" outside your house, and try the paper again.
Other then that...get your cat neutered, or keep it inside.
good luck

Look into the options that local shelters offer. Depending on where you live, there is likely a humane society in addition to a city or county animal control. Some shelters will be able to pick up the kittens if transportation is a problem. Check shelters in surrounding areas, too. Again, some will come and pick up, so don't be too concerned if they aren't just around the corner. If a shelter can't take them, try listing them on Petfinder.com. Do not offer them for free - they could end up in some bad hands. Even if you don't end up taking any money, advertise that the kittens are for sale to weed out the nefarious.
You seem to be sincere in your desire to do something despite the inaction of your mom. You may be able to get some sympathy from the shelter (call and explain your situation and play up your age) and get some extra help (I am a shelter employee, so I know). Ask about assistance with getting Haven spayed, too. I don't know why your mom is so resistent, but if it is cost, many shelters offer low-cost spaying.

You are to be commended on taking care of all the kittens yourself, do you have friends that could help? Maybe they know someone who would take a kitten or two. How about contacting a rescue agency for animals, also call the pets stores, some pet stores will take the kittens and find them good homes. Please get the cats fixed or you will have even more kittens. Best wishes.

Try and give them to a shelter. Or look around for someone willing to foster them. They might do a better job of finding them homes. You could even ask your friends if they are interested. They can ask friends or family members who are maybe looking for kittens. Just get the word out and I think you will be okay.
Good luck. =]

call a nearby vet and ask them if they know of any no-kill shelters for cats, we have them in maryland. if there is a local petstore, you can ask them if they would take them or if they knew of any place or person that would, try the newspaper again, tell friends, put up flyers in grocery stores, and other places where a lot of people can see.
good luck and try to convince your mom about the spaying part...
but anyway, good luck and let us know what happens

Try putting them on Craig's List as well. It's a free online classified. And get all those animals fixed ASAP.

Animals that are given for free often go to homes where they will be used as pitbull bait, abused by psycopaths, sent to labs for animal testing. Please charge an adoption fee even if its atleast 20 bucks. Post on http://www.petfinder.com http://sfbay.craigslist.org/
Seriously talk with the local shelters and tell them your situation.

Call a local NO KILL shelter and tell them your situation... they might even be able to help you with transportation and Haven...Sometimes "bare minimum" they might at least be able to help with advertising!
