I went to the pound to get a dog yesterday, the supervisor there told me a story about an adoptee. They have a beautiful bull dog there that an elderly woman saw dumped in an empty lot. The elderly woman tried to get this dog to come with her but the dog refused as he was waiting for his owner. The woman came to the dog for 7 days to bring him food in the empty lot. The dog would not budge or leave the area he was dropped off at. How loyal was that??? She ended up calling to get him picked up. This poor dog was heartbroken=(.

When I first got my rabbit, he got out of the cage for about 2 hours and my cats had a field day, chasing him and such. My rabbit suffered a small puncture wound from this. Now, I am more careful. My cats don't seem as interested in him anymore (its been about a month). They don't hang around his cage anymore like they used too. Can I trust them together? What should I do?

I have experience in hand raising a young kitten that was orphaned but I never "helped" a mother cat with her litter. My second youngest kitten was set to be spayed but my neighbor upstairs decided that he wanted to get rid of my cat and opened my kitchen window and let her out. (I pressed charges).Well she found her way home pregnant. She had her litter about 13 days ago and I found that she and the little guys had fleas. I spoke to my vet and was advised to bathe the kittens with specific flea shampoo. I did this and now Momma is now moving the kittens to different areas of my room. Is this normal? Since she was so young and her first I have to help her care for them,. supplement feedings (on occasions) I am just concerned that they will get a chill away from their box in my closet. Any advice on calming her down?

Our farm dog which is a red heeler just over a year old, got pregnant by a dog that the owners bring down to camp. As of this wednesday the puppies will be three weeks old.Sunday the 9th of July I noticed that she was rolling her eyes like she was dehydrated, as she was loosing alot of weight, so I decided to take her into the vet. Our back up vet is stupid and doesnt know how to make up her mind! She said yes, she is dehydrated, she might have an infection in her uterus, or she didnt pass a puppy or umbillcal cord. So they gave her some antibiotics and we give her an IV twice a day. She is getting her appetite back, but hardly drinks any water. When she eats she wont use her tongue, she chomps and slobbers all over. She walks like frankenstein on her back end, and refuses to go up and down stairs, but will try if my husband asks her,and will run into things if she doesnt see them right She will pee, and she has bowl movements. Yes we took the pups off of her. They are doing good!

I think its a great way to help the environment

I ran out of rollers today and now 'Fluffy' doesn't really live up to her name.
I'm worried the Tom next door will stick to her back.
