That could be quite a mess! I would cut the trap carefully into smaller sections and loosten it with baby oil or any non-toxic cooking oil... maybe peanut butter would work...works for gum! Then you'll need to use a really good kitty shampoo to get the oil out. I'd probably leave that jog to a groomer! Have fun!
P.S. You have a mouse problem and own a cat! LOL!

I purely got here upon this thread in the time of an emergency. I had no longer one yet 2 trapped anoles (a small lizard that individuals in many circumstances call chameleons) on trojan horse strips on my living house windows. I HATE utilising those trojan horse strips for this very reason yet we stay instantly in the course of the line from a nursery and through this time of 365 days, gnats (or some tiny flying trojan horse...in spite of they're) swarm. We get them in our living house by technique of the multitudes and those traps are the only useful approach i have got here upon to wrestle them so a procedures. anyhow.... I took the suggestion of the vegetable oil. I carefully poured it around the tiny and fragile lizard and then began to *carefully* raise it from the glue catch. I worked a stiff leaf lower than one leg of the lizard and began to boost it, operating my way right down to the foot. i believe firstly the foot may probably reason tearing it off of the lizard! (this may be an significant be conscious for someone else down the line reading this) After lifting the legs, I worked on the tummy, tail and did the top very last to circumvent too a lot thrashing round, probably ensuing in damage. I did both lizards this manner and that i'm satisfied to assert they both ran off into the grass. :) i am going to change to the putting spiral traps, no matter if or not they DO get stuck in my hair!!! (sure, it truly is actual occurred. better my hair than a lizard)

use soap and water and if that don't work you may have to shave the cat's face. if you have to do this be very careful not to hurt your cat.
