My dog has stopped drinking water. He gets two 30 minute walks every day. It is very hot where I live, around 100 degrees, so you would expect him to drink some water....but he isn't. He is always panting now-a-days. His water gets refilled every day and he drinks the same water that my family and I drink. What could be wrong?

It is totally unfair to the animal. Pets need vet care, including dental. Besides shots and check ups they get ill and they get injured. Pets will need a vet.

I am having my landlord take care of my 2 cats, she voulenteered to do so. she is a cat lover and I know she will take good care of my cats but this is the first time leaving them for more than like 12 hrs. they are 1 year old. but I'm nervous about leaving them. I know I can call and check in on them and all but it's just hard on me. I'm sure it will get a little easier next time around. I've had them for 9 months. any ideas on how I can get through my anxiety about leaving them.

If I walk into the house through the front door, the cats think it's feeding time.
If the cats have been fed by another member of the family, they still want me to feed them.
They have regular(ish) feedtimes 8am & 9pm.
If they have already been fed, by me, they want to be fed again..even if they still have food in their bowl?
Are they just greedy, or am I not feeding them enough?, IF I am not feeding the enough why dont they supplement their diet with mice, birds etc.
They dont generally scrounge off other people either!

She is an 11 week old Sheltie-Bichon mix. She is very affectionate, playful, smart, cute and wonderful. My only beef is that I want her to be a cuddly lap dog. It seems like she doesn't really want to be held or petted very much. She likes to sleep near us but not on our lap on right next to us.

I got my cat at a shelter. And he is really sweet.
He just likes getting outside. I am to assuming he was an outdoor cat before I had him.
It is really annoying having to crawl through my neighbors bushes to get him.
I have bought numerous collars for him to wear with tags and everything...only thing is he is a feline houdini. And gets anything we put on him, off.
Ok the point is I dont like it when he gets outside because we have really nasty strays around here that would probably kill him. And people drive down my street REALLY fast. Im afraid that he will get hurt and not come back home.
Anything to stop him from getting out?? =\

Our dashchund goes mad when the postman comes or when someone comes to the door, its like something clicks in his head and he loses it, he is the loveliest dog in the world, hes so loving and very soppy. When our cavalier barks as well in those situations, he goes for her. The other day he chased her out of the kitchen, she yelped and he came back with her fur in his mouth. I dont know what to do, they hate to be separated, can anyone help?
