Got baby kittens.?

Question

I just got 2 male baby kittens.They are gonna be outdoor cats.I have a 4 and a half month old outdoor female German Sheperd/Collie mix dog. I tried to introduce them and the dog seemed very curios but not aggressive.Can I trust her with the kittens?

Yes, I have the exact same breed of dog, as long as you didn't tell her before you ever got kitens to be mean or kill, shell be fine, she'll try and play but she might get batted in the nose a couple times! lol!

Well I wouldn't for a while. Because if you have a big dog like that she might think she is playing with them and she is really hurting them. So until they know each other better and the kittens are a little older I wouldn't leave them alone. You should supervise all the sessions that they are together. But if that is not possible you might need to get a chain to put your dog on while you are busy.

Slowly bring the kittens outside for varied times under supervision. They'll get on in the end.

Yes but still keep your eye on them . Sometimes animals can be very unpredictable. And you don't want something bad to happen to those adorable kittens.

as its afemale dog they should be ok dont leave them unsupervised for the next couple of days,just watch and make sure the kittens can escape if a fight broke out

yes because she's a puppy herself steal. if they grow up together then you have no problem at all. there so close in age to. she's not aggresive to them because she's so young. you got them at the right time. ^_^
