if the question means, shall i have a dog or a cat, think on this. you choose the dog, the cat chooses you. in other words a cat will only stay as long as it is happy, upset it and its off. whilst a dog sticks around whatever happens. so perhaps cats are better because you have clear confirmation you are doing things right.

Dogs because they are loyal and loving. A cat is too independent and is only concerened with itself. For a pet, I look for one that I can interact with and be close to and a cat is not the pet for that.

Cats are more independent. Dogs are more dependent. Cats can be more distant. Dogs are usually more accepting.

People who like cat's do not have control issues... People who like dogs like sloppy unquestioned loyalty and enforced order through obedience and dependency. We all reflect small bits of ourselves in every choice we make. Personally... I have no pets. But I like both for different reasons... Great danes and Flame point Siamese to be exact.
