High fat, high protein. Just about any thing that doesn't come from the same store you get your food store. Make sure at lest the first TWO ingredients are meat. Pet food should come from pet stores. It is not cheap but they will eat less, poop less and have more mass and less fat. If you are not fighting your dog feed him good and show him respect by calling him a staff shire terrier. Pit bulls are pit dogs and are fought.

Mine do well on high-performance... Just make sure you get enough fat and protein from good sources... If dry skin, add some EFA oils... P.S. Jack F is wrong about the breeding; they're not all staffies... A good book will tell you the "technicalities"...

Try Innova-Evo my dog has great shiny fur and she LOVES the taste. Which helps because she is a very picky eater. Hope that helps.
