I have my own flat now. I have some spare space in the bedroom I would love a punchbag problem is it's a council flat the people upstairs wouldn't like the noise.

I love exercise it's one thing which helps if I get irritated.

What else can I get which is less noisy? Does such a thing exist as spring things you can attach to the wall and pull or something?

Can you just get up there...(High pitches on the roof at different points) and chase him out..or should I use a bug bomb spray and he'll run out on his own? In fact, its not alone..I think its two a wife and a husband.

When the freezer is going thru its defrost phase, the ice cubes of course are a little bit melted, but mostly still solid. But they always get that distinctive odd smell.
Then, when they refreeze again, they don't have a smell again.
Where does this smell come from, and should i throw my ice away during this cycle?

Not the kind that you push... the kind that takes gas and you need to turn it on?

Do you even know where the gas goes?

Do you know how to adjust the settings?

If you don't know, do you want to learn how?

Just wondering - thanks!

We have about a million lady bugs that are around our house. Several have found thier way into the house. What are some things I can do to get rid of them?

They are driving me crazy. I cant even go out of my house without them flying all over my family and I. This is just crazy.

Ok so my husband just said that they were not lady bugs. They are those mixed ones I think you call em Asian Beetles.

Just asking. I prefer the Scotts because it seems to clean up better. That soft stuff just glides!

I bought this plant at Lowes, and the only thing the tag said was "designer indoor tree" or something. I have been giving it water but not a ton, I've had it in direct light, non direct light, shade and no matter what the leaves keep turning brown and dying. You can see the dead leaves in the picture. If you have any idea what kind of plant this is or how I should care for it, please help. Thanks in advance.

Getting rid of mice?
Over the past three months, I have seen a total of 16 mice in my apartment and have caught 13. Please dont reply with this is the time of year for them to be entering homes... 16 is a little rediculous and this has been going on since summer. None of my neighbors have seen any, just me! What should I do for this?! I have a baby at home, and am sickened to think that he could be crawling around on mice feces. yuck! I have spoke with the landord and they set traps... 5 mice caught since the traps were laid. They also told me that my cat is the best deterrant... my cat is useless.. he doesnt even bother with the mice! Any suggestions???!! Thank you so very much. :)

I live next to a field and for the first time in 16 years of being here...a mouse got it. It's living in a wardrobe upstairs and all the traps I have set, so far, haven't gone off. I used chocolate to bait them and it's been feasting on it withouth it going off. I bought a new better advanced trap, BOUND to go off when it tries to get the chocolate...but it's been over a day and it's not been near it. I'm wondering if it's dead, because it's been up scratching every other night in there. Can alot of chocolate kill a field mouse?

I find this disgusting I've tried looking but I can't see them on the mattress.

how do they get in? we got our windows replaced about three years ago so the screens have no holes in them (believe me i would notice) and i always keep my windows in my room closed (like at the top) and i make sure the screen is all the way down and touching the metal of the windowsill. so how do they get in? i have five at least in the one corner of my room just sitting there, probably mating or something gross. eww... how do they get in and how can i prevent it?

Have recently emigrated from England where ran a successful cleaning business. I want to start the same in Canada but understand I have the elements to deal with! Do window cleaners add anything to their water in order to be able to work more of the year (I understand that heavy winter is impractical) & is there anything to use in the hot weather to help the water in the sun? Any help would be much appreciated!

Bought a washer and dryer from Home Depot yesterday($800). Today an add comes out advertisment 10% off all appliances. How ethical is it to return and ask them if I can get the discount. One friggin day later and I could have saved and extra $80. Argh!!!!! What are your thoughts???

With all this "Go Green!" nonsense going on, you would think we would be graduating to better construction habits. Tankless water heaters, solar panels on roofs, compost heap areas in yards, WiFi- Broadband ready homes, etc.
