You will be told to throw mothballs up there. It won't work.
Plain ammonia sprayed in the attic will chase them out. Then you have to block whatever access they have been using. Tack hardware cloth. ( wire mesh ) over any openings. They can get through a 2" hole so look carefully. They are not looking for food up there, it's just a nice warm dry home.
You could put up squirrel houses in your yard.

There are humane traps available at most garden supply places and available for rent at the Humane Societies. Trap the squirrels and release them back into the wild.
In order to keep them out, you'll need to find where they are coming in and repair or put mesh over the opening.
Do NOT attempt to poison the squirrels in your attic. If you are successful, the smell will drive you to move house!

I have no idea. I've had them in my attic for over 7 years now and nothing I've tried works. Called an exterminator and was told they can get rid of them for $ 700.00 but there is no guarantee they won't return

Squirrles can marry, but I can't :( not fair. Try putting a cat up there for a while to chase them out, then try and close all gaps where they can get in. They are very crafty animals and it wont be easy to keep them out for sure.

Try a sonic repeller.
It emits a high-pitched sound that we can't hear, but annoys the heck out of the squirrels. They'll decide to leave on their own.

I am sorry short of killing them there probably is not much you can do . I wont kill them myself cause I feed them in my backyard . I think that keeps them out of my attic they only get up in there thinking there might be food . so maybe if you feed them in a feeder they might not get up there anymore .
