For about a month, for some reason, it sounds as if we have air in pipes when a toilet flushes. Now, it takes forever for a toilet to fill back up. We built the house in 1982. Besides calling an expensive plumber, is there anything I can try myself? Thanks for any suggestions.

After moving in to my new property 6 day ago I have discovered damage to the floor in the box room and the bathroom area.
The wooden floor under the carpet in the box room is rotten and covered with mould. Similarly with the bathroom floor next to the bath tub.
It was not highlighting before the sale.
If I had known that floor repairs were required I would not have purchased the property for the amount that was paid.
In my opinion repair cost should be paid by Seller. Am I right ? Is ther any law on my side?

it is the standard hollow door that you find in most houses. how do i anchor it to the door. t seems to me that anchors like i use to hang pictures on sheet rock will not work the same , because the door is thinner.

I waited a few minutes and it started again. I stopped mowing and just drove it back. What do you think it was? I check the oil and added a little because it was at the add mark. I checked the filter and added gas before I started mowing. It was still running but I always have problems when I mow. Any suggestions?

I live in a townhouse and it is currently raining. I just noticed a big water spot on the ceiling on the first floor. There is no water running upstairs. I just called someone from my home owners association and left a message of my problem. I want to be prepared and was wondering what I should know in order to protect myself and make sure that they fix the problem?

The true question is, I have my antenna cable wires running along the electric heater's "coils" (I guess you call them) inside my livingroom. I am looking to turn my thermostat's temperature this winter to 70 to 80 farenheit. Based on that the outer plastic of the wiring is like that of any standard thick wiring, (a) Would it melt? (b) Cause a fire?

The door is like most of the other doors in the house: wooden with what seems like a hollow core. The other doors we have all stay open when left alone. This one door will not stay in the open position; it slowly closes. Is there a simple fix that doesn't require re-installing the door?

My dog was accidently left in my room while everyone was out. He ended shredding a large chunk of the carpet behind the door and now there is a gaping hole with nails sticking out. What is the best (and cheapest) way to fix it?
