The insurance should cover the damage to your home but will not cover the cost to replace the heater.

If the heater just went out and is all over you might get the insurance to cover it for "water damage" the heater, that's another.

It should cover the damage to the carpet. Please use the company for repairs that your insurance company reccommends-they know who is really good to use. Take care.
