I'm using the Amcor ALD12000E for rooms up to 400 Square feet, but right now I have it in a 130 square feet room which is pretty small... I read on some websites that it's not good for the AC.. is this true? Will my portable AC be damaged if I use it in smaller rooms?

I went out and tried to start my lawnmower. It started up fine (better than expected because it was given to me for free); however, when I went to push it, I noticed there wasn't any grass being cut. Now, of course I didn't keep it running and tilt it up to check, but I can only assume the blade wasn't spinning. It's a Honda Commercial push mower that is also self propelled. The model is unclear. Any ideas?

My grandfather has a Briggs and Stratton 12 HP Sentennial riding lawn mower. He told me he thinks he needs to grease the gears in the rear end. We took the rear end off and see no plug to do so. Is it possible to do so?

I bought a window AC unit yesterday, and installed it. It was working for a few hours and later I found the electricity off to that bedroom and bathroom. I checked the fuse box and the fuse is alright. I turned back on a few hours later and it smelled like something was burning. I unplugged the AC unit and gave up on that idea. What can I do to restore electricity to those rooms?

And how do you tell which one you've got? From what I have read, it seems like they are exactly the same thing. They both can pump clean water and waste water. My home warranty covers sump pumps, but not sewer pumps.

I have just inherited an older craftsman ridning mower, I have gotten it running, and jsut need to replace a throttlr control spring on the carb. I am having a problem figuring how to lower the blade height or if it is working. I have the knob to turn left/right to lower and raise the blade, but it doesnt make a difference. Is there a certain setting everything has to be in to make this adjustment?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again

Once there was a big lightning strike near our house and our ceiling fan got fryed even though it was turned off from the switch. I'm suspecting the surge jumpped the gap inside the switch (the gap bitween the contacts). So in order to prevent it I made a small device where I placed the live and neutral wires really close the ground wire (only 0.15cm's away). The device is inside a plastic case and is installed at the service entrance. So my device should provide protection from these jumping lightning surges right? I have surge protectors but as I heard a strong enough lightning surge can jump even through the blown fuses. My Device should prevent this right? After all the ground wire is more attractive than the neutral that is grounded at the tranceformer right? A lightning surge can jump right? or is the site I read telling false information? And yes I have very good dual ground wire

There's an open pipe under the kitchen cabinet in my office, and the maintenance thinks roaches are getting in through here. The maintenance said to put wire mesh in the hole, but I don't know where to look for something like this.

I've tried hot soapy water, scraping it and scouring it and it won't budge. As it was underneath the rug it has gathered dirt etc through the years and I desperately need to get rid of it. Any tips for removing it would be most greatful.

The run times for each zone do not overlap and other zones are running in sequence. it's only zones 8, 9, and 10 that will all start up (within seconds) when any one of them is activated.

It's 8' x 13' x 6" deep, and I have heard from 3 different places 3 different quotes from 3 bags to 8 bags - that's a HUGE difference! :) SO I thought I'd ask the experts. If you know the Home Depot/Lowes large sand bag coverage, and can tell me how many of those bags I'd need, that would be great. Or if you can suggest a tonnage of the sand, that would be great also. They're sold in those bags at the stores, and in tons by the delivery sand companies.....so whichever you've got information wise, I'll pick from there! :)
Thanks so much!

The part was the correct part from Craftsman. It just sputtered a few times as if it was going to start and then it died. When I checked the adapter, the key inside had broken off.

I have a large bay window where the main middle pane has become completely glazed over. The rest of the bay window (smaller side windows) are in perfect shape and I'd like to replace just the large middle pane. Is this possible or do I have to replace the entire bay window? Anyone have a link with some DIY info? Thanks!
