I've got 'Green stuff' growing on the north side of my house. I assume it is moss, it is up very high on the north side where it gets very little direct sunlight. Does anyone know of a chemical I can add to the water supply in a power sprayer that will kill this stuff but won't damage the Vinyl siding?

Our central AC stopped cooling; air was forced into the house, but not cold air. A humming, vibrating noise came intermittently from the unit--like it was trying to work but just couldn't.

I called a local HVAC company. The person came and checked the refrigerant levels and the filter, which were fine. He said the capacitor was bad and replaced it.

Tonight I put the AC on for about an hour. Although the air felt cool (not cold), the temperature change was only one degree after more than one hour (from 81 degrees to 80 degrees). At that point, I turned it off because it had gotten cooler outside than it was inside.

Any idea what might be going on? I'll probably need to call the company over again on Monday.

Thanks for any clues.

One of them is for the paint product the other for the air pressure. How many turns for the air and how many turns for the paint? This is a cheap gun. Any info would be apreciated. My first time painting.

I live in a townhouse that has NO insulation, right on the other side of the ceiling is outside. So needless to say, the place gets HOT during the day. I am renting, so I am wondering if anyone has any quick tips on how I can cool the place down. I already have an a/c (which doesn't help very much)... what else can I do that would be cheap and wouldn't mess up my landlords place?

I opened the duct work to my evaporator coils and seen them frozen. This is causing the A/C to run all day with little air flow seen at the vents. Do you know of cleaning solutions that can be bought from a store (eg Homedepot). Also, do you clean the unit in place? Do you scrape it, etc.

Can anyone provide me with a list of items to check. These are drive thru size cold storage units. Ive been told to not check the system pressure every month because of the service valves can might leak after so many uses, and some refrigerant is wasted each time........ so........to check the temp differential across both coils.....then check the superheat (I dont know how to do that) check the amp draw on the fans. check the coils for dirt...........what else ?....... I sure would do well here to catch a problem before it get serious........

I'm building a new house and was thinking about putting a tankless propane water heater in the house. My question is, I'm wondering if I can use a 100lb tank to fuel the heater and how long would it last under normal use? Like for a 117,00 btu heater.

The fridge in my garage is not cooling as well as it should. I have vacumned out the coils, front and back. The compressor checks good. I realize that this is a self contained system, but what else should I check? Where is the freon charging port typically located on a fridge?
