My boyfriend has black mold growing on his basement walls. They are cement. In the past this room was used for a bedroom. He would like to get it cleaned up and use it again, but not in the condition it is in. Please-- only serious answers.

My water pipes freeze a lot. They have frozen some 3-4 times since 2007 came in.
Well anyway, I got up this morning and and checked to make sure the water wasn't froze again. And it was fine. A few min later, my husband checked ( he was unaware that I had checked)
So anyway, approx 1 hr or so later, when our daughter got up to take her shower, the water was frozen!
Is there a logical explanation or is it just our luck?!???
This was like 7 am or so this morn.
And we did manage to thaw the pipes and it didn't take that long, but I thought the coldest part of the night was over. It was already daylight!

I have a good well with a good pump. There are two pressure regulating tanks and a whole house chemical free water filter in-line. The water heater is 1 year old. I can't find any leaks inside or out. My pressure is set at 45 psi (pump turns on) and 60 psi (pump turns off). The problem started without any changes to the system. It seems to be worse when it rains heavily for days. That may be a stretch or excessive thinking, but I'm at a loss. Any tips or help would be appreciated.

it's 8 or 9 years old now.
A condensing combi.
A friend has offered me the following deal:
For £15 a month, he will cover the existing boiler for life.
Then replace when duff,
Replace after 7 years regardless on new ones.
All I pay is £15 forever!
Is it a good deal?
Also, the company is reputable / corgi etc.

On my house, certain parts have paint that is peeling off, hence, the actual wood is exposed. I was wondering is it important for me to quickly repaint it before the rain and weather ruins it? Thanks.

Someone gave us an antique vanity meant for a younger girl. Our daughter is only two, but by the size of it, it would be perfect for a little desk for her. However, even though she is very careful with things, I would like to be able to put something on the top of the surface that will protect it from scratches and other wear and tear as she uses it till she's older. Any suggestions?

Ok, I've been flipping homes for 10 years, done several dozen complete bathrooms, and I can't do a decent job with caulk.

Is it like singing, am I just tone deaf when it comes to caulking? Is it hopeless?

What is your secret to a quick, professional looking caulk job, is it like boxing as in moving your hips not just your arms, is it like spraying paint where you move your whole body not your wrists only?

What am I doing wrong, this is easy crap, and I can't seem to ever make it look decent.
