Once the pilot is lit, which is prone to go out as well, the fire will only stay on for a short amount of time before it and the pilot goes out. This is preceded by a click similar to the sound that the button for the electric ignitor makes when being depressed. What does this sound like and what can we do here? Thanks.

Our laundry room is located on a crawl because of it was part of an addition to our house. It gets really cold back there and now the drain pipe froze so we can't do our laundry anymore. The water supply (both hot and cold) are still working fine. Any suggestions on how to thaw the drain pipe without having to go into the crawl space and heat it? The crawl space is not easily accessible and I am afraid to go in there. Help!

I would like to replace my very old thermostat with a new programmable one. Is it really hard, can I do it myself, and is it really worth it?

I installed ceramic tile with .25 inch grout lines. I used unsanded grout, and have now learned I should have used sanded grout, due to this the grout is cracking. Can I repair the grout and if so how? Can I just add more grout, and if so do I use the same stuff or use sanded? Or do I have to remove the grout and redo it?

This sink is fitted to a kitchen in Sydney -Belmore area, which has about 12 houses in the unit on an individual basis. It takes 6 hours to drain a half full bowl.
The first stainless steel bowl has a U plastic PVC bend & another U or S bend(PVC) which is connected to the second bowl and from this 2nd bowl a straight pipe runs down taking it out. One cannot spot a gully trap or a manwhole cover on the outside to check the outside clogging etc.
This is the first time in 3 months this is happening. Generally the sink handles only kitchen utensils wash dirt cleaned by the dish washing liquid. All solid wastes are removed before washing utensils.
Is there any chemicals which can be used to remove the clog?

I have matched one black/blue one black/brown and isolated 2 red in 4th block. Before fixing the light I checked the lighting and it worked but when I had installed it - it didn't neither did the wall lights in the room. I can't understand why the wall lights were affected as the fuse is OK. there is an earth. Any ideas??

Normally the heating is fine; the timer turns it on and off successfully and the thermostat works. However sometimes the heating stays on even though the timer (which appears to be working - lights go off) switches off and promptly goes red hot and the thermostat no longer works either. Any ideas?
