I have now pretty much laid the OSB 11mm boarding, 30cm angle over 5 meters ( not a lot then ), will or should I overlap the ends and sides more than recommended, would this improve or hinder the project outcome, planning to over lap sides by 4 or 5 ridges or more and ends by up to a foot or two or more, ides welcome cheers.

Water is pouring out of a little plastic pipe, next to the bit where the pipe to the shower head screws in to the unit. Is there any way I can seal this up, as the water is puring out there instead of comng out the head. I can't afford a plumber right now, and I need the shower working!

Is there a benefit to reinstalling a 3 phase 5 ton compressor? Are three phase a/c compressors more energy efficient? Are they more expensive? What is the appropriate SEER? Our KW cost is about 13 cents and we live in South Texas where it is warm year round. Should we also install a new inside air handler?

I just had some old galvanized pipes replaced with copper ones. But now, every time I turn the faucet on, the first water that comes out is brown....within a second or so, it turns clear. Is this something that just happens for awhile with new copper pipes, or does this sound abnormal?

I asked about a leak in my roof...I do not have the money till next year so...The house was built in 1915.. First it has old shingles on the first layer..I Think made out of wood...then it has 4 layers of the newer type shingles..25 years old plus. I do not know when.. the roofer guy said when he would walk on them they would just disinergrate at his feet...I am trying to put a patch on the chimmney side till next year cuz he said it needs a complete tear off..Costing about 15,000..It needs to have a plywood base..I understand that...I canot get up there to chalk it,,It is a chicago style house.. with houses on both sides 3 feet apart..You need to come from the front ..Just to get on the house..I need a patch way from the attic till next spring..Somebody said to use the window expanding stuff..It sounds good so far..But I am still open...This has been looked at by more than 5 persons in the roofing Bus...I will fix it but I need suggestions till next year..GOD BLESS

I recently had all of my windows replaced with double pane easy maintenace windows. Unfortunately the bathroom window is not frosted. I have blinds over it right now. Certain members of the family though, would like to have the window have a frosted look. Any Suggestions??

Kids Halloween party is over..... some of the kids found a permanent black marker and had a ball with it. These are 3 to 5 year olds so the markings are all over the house.

How do I remove permanent black marker from a wooden surface without damaging the wood? ( antique walnut ) Also, refrigerator, wall paper, plastic air purifier and just about every surface!!!
I have tried fingernail polish remover on the refrigerator, it only dims the color. De-natured alcohol does no better. Is there some product that will remove the marks off several surfaces?

I just noticed water on the floor in front of my washer and dryer, although I haven't used the washer in about 4 days. I live in a house that is on a slab foundation and wondered if there is water seeping through the foundation, if the plumbing is out of whack, or if there is an issue with the washer. Any ideas?
