All Permitted buildings must have a set of plans registered with the city's Planning department or building department or something of that nature. In the city where I live they keep plans on file in the office for Five years then I think they put them into Archives. You will need to go to your City Hall to the Planning or Building department and ask about getting copies of the plans. You may be able to view the original on file with the city for no fee or a nominal processing fee, but if you want to take a copy home it will cost probably $10- $100 depending on the size of the plans, the number of pages and the city's copying costs.

You could contact your local building inspector. He would know how to go about getting them.
