you take a crap and it doesn't even float on the water, because there isn't almost any, it just lands on the damn bowl.

I hope I've made a compelling argument

Please help

I have window ventilation grids which are now too small to meet British Gas regulations. I do not know where to buy the metal grids (Edinburgh) necessary to place over the required measurements.

My metal eyeglass frame has broken at the nose piece (separating the glasses into two halves). The break occurred riight where the curved nose piece attaches to the main frame just next to the lens.

A previous soldered repair "sealed" the screw such that I cannot take the lens out, so that soldering is out. I did "try" some super glue, but it didn't hold. However, it was not a "brand name" and may not have been the best choice. Is there a glue/cement/epoxy that I can use to attach (perhaps just 1-2 mm of contact is avaialable) the two parts of the metal frame to get a "good enough" repair? I am not certain of the material but it is light, and possibly aluminum or a light alloy.

I wear contacts, so these are backups and I don't wanrt to spend $$$ for a new set since I rarely use them.

Also, any recommnedqations on how to improve the bond to give it the best strength would also be helpful.

Thanks in advance

Dryer was spinning but not heating so replaced cartridge fuses last week and thought I solved problem however it was only temporary. Back to spinning only. Cartridge fuses are two 30 amp as required. There is also a regular 30 amp fuse for both dryer & washer. Washer works fine though I did replace with new fuse just in case. Would it have anything to do with operating both at the same time though I always have done so in the past.

Our hot water used to be available as soon as we turned on the faucets - suddenly we have to run the water for quite a long time and its tepid at best. The pilot light is on and its running and noone altered the temperature setting.

I tried using nail polish remover but it spoiled the acrylic, I was so sad you know cos the acrylic was initially clear and transparent now a bit of it is smeared. I've tried putting it in water but it can't come off. Please help me get rid of these unslightly tape marks without hurting the plastic!

The crack measures about 2cm long, is at the very bottom of the door and is the result of drilling a hole below when fitting a lock. It's a huge piece of glass and will obviously cost a fortune to replace, and so I would obviously love to avoid it. Thanks very much!

I have a 3 story home and I am looking for ways to save money. I insulated this year, caulked windows, caulked storm windows, sealed up cracks, etc.... I have a large walk in attic, above the third floor, with its own set of stairs and wondered if I sealed the roof vents if it would heat that space making a insulator above the third floor not allowing so much rising heat to escape. Would I be doing more harm than good? I know I have to keep them open in the summer, but what do I need them for in the winter?
