Wear & tear is making my fence lean out - couple of slats broken, latch/hook/lock rusted solid, dirt eroding away-leaving space. Used to have dog that was a digger - have cement beneath topsoil to stop him, except at the gate! So it's 3/4 of a panel and a gate - repair or replace? Cheaper & easier for single woman not too good with this stuff but will learn to save $ if I have to

We covered our front steps with decking wood with a nail space between each board; our dog got her nail stuck in a space & we had to run to the vet. She's fine now. How can we fill in the spaces between each board without doing the job over again? Right now I have out door rugs covering the beautiful wood.

Just had a load of little halogen downlighters fitted in my kitchen, and one has blown already. My problem is how to access the tiny bulb behind the glass. It seems to be held on with a very strong band of wire, which comes out in a triangle over one edge of the glass and the two ends of the wire come slightly across the glass on the opposite edge. Have tried prying the wire off at both these access points to no avail & don't want to break the glass. Is there a magic way of changing these bulbs??Any help appreciated.

I'm moving and need to touch up a few spots in my apartment before I leave. I've bought the white paint but what's the best way to mix it in order to have it look the same color as white paint that's been applied before. Bright new white paint kind of stand out against old white paint. Thanks.

Our fireplace chimney is leaking and on the other side of the wall , which is in my daughters bedroom, there is black mold growing on the wall. The wall is painted but it is coming thru the paint. The same thing is happening on the ceiling as well. Im very afraid of this situation as i've heard so many horror stories of how black mold can kill a person. I have taken my daughter out of the room since i found this. I would have already tried to fix it but we rent this house and we have to inform our landlord about this. Can anyone help?

I have a hot water faucet in my bathroom. Whenever you turn the sink faucet on halfway, it makes a loud panging noise. It's like someone is banging on the pipes. I thought I heard somewhere that it's because there's air in the pipes. Is that true? How can I solve this problem?
