What do I clean these with? Or do I??

all have them and simply BURN IT OFF when you run it the first time...yes it willsmoke..and stink

i would think just soap and water should do the trick. then rinse and see if that removed the film. If not call the customer service phone number in the book you should have received with the new stove.

Well if its sticky like grease or something, you don't have to clean it. If I'm not mistaking, the manufacturer put it there to keep the burners from rusting.

it just peels off don't be scared it won't hurt u or the stove but it has to be removed

Just turn it on! There will be a little smoke, a little smell, all gone in a few minutes.
