i just bought a microwave from sears spring of '05. I moved into a new apt and took it out of storage for which it had been for 3 months. it was working fine before and right after. about a month out of storage it would only work like half the time. sometimes it would cook the food and the other times it didnt cook the food. and now it doesnt work at all.
is this fixable or what? its only a one and a half yr old!
i dont have money for a new one this one cost like 300 and i am still paying for it along with my washer and dryer.

I have an estimate from an insurance company which is really low, under a dollar a foot, and one from a painter that is about 3 times as high. Its not a big job: about 325 sqare foot to be stained and about 100 linear feet of trim.

Has some broken parts in the machine for some time, also, we have had some difficulty shutting the door for over a year now - finally, the hot water has stopped circulating inside the unit. My husband wants to pay for a repairman but I am not so sure that it's worth it.

I'm looking for a nice hand tool set that would include all necessary tools that I need to have for all small home projects. I do not want to buy tools separately, I would rather buy everything at ones.

I have an old house. It is so old, that the electricial work to the outlets is on the outside of the walls, not on the inside. There is a box around the perimiter of the rooms of my house that have all the wiring in it... now, I want to redrywall, and get new baseboards.. etc.. Can a mediocre do it yourselfer get the electrical work inside the walls and make it the way it belongs ( to current standards) or should that be left to the hands of a licensed electritian?

Hi today we have just got a new microwave as we could only get a combination one with a grill, what is the grill for, can you use it like an ordinary grill like on an oven that you grill toast on or is it just for browning. Also it says its a combination microwave and has a combination button but we arent sure what this does either and the instructions are not any help. Any helpfull answers would be brilliant. Thanks

The gutters were clogged and caused water leaking into the basement. The gutters have been cleaned and fixed. Do I need to do anything now to repair the damage in the basement, besides cleaning with bleach? Is there something more I need to do to waterproof the basement?

I have a concrete pad that is approx. 10x10 that acts as a porch. that is at ground level. Directly underneath this concrete pad is a room in our basement. Water damage caused some of the drywalled ceiling to fall and all I see is 2x4's supporting this concrete pad. Am I crazy or is something not right?

Or if like the water is affected? See, the maintenence guys at our apartment are just really slow, so they haven't gotten around to coming to fix it yet, and we've tried to fix it ourself, it just hasnt' worked out so well. Both the bathtub and the sink drains have been clogged for about 3 weeks now.

I had a candle that slumped over during a heat wave this summer, and it leaned against my wall for a half a day or so. Now there is an oily impression on the wall...is there a way to remove this without having to re-paint?

I'm in Louisiana and need someone to re-shingle my roof "take old ones off and put new ones on", I have 30 squares and have about a 6/12 pitch. I will buy the materials myself and I have a group of people that will do it for probably almost anything I give them,I want a real good deal but I want to be fair. Can someone give me a good estimate on what I should pay them?
