Get rid of their food source and they will leave on their own. Where are they finding the bugs?

Lizards are carnivores, there in your house because you have food for trhem probably roaches. Get rid of the bugs and the lizards will move on to the next house. BTW: some people even keep a pet lizard to control bugs - gross ha?

To prevent lizards from entering the house, stick a piece of cotton with toothpaste on the wall near your tubelight.

Keeping empty egg shells on window sills normally scares lizards away.

Take an egg, make a small hole at either end of it, drain out its contents, but don’t wash the egg shell. Draw some funny faces on the shells, use a fancy thread and hang them near the doors and windows.

Calcium deposits of chalk stop lizards from entering that area.

well, i know lizrds cna be an unbelievably irritating problem at home.
at my house we use those lizard killing aerosols. they are polluting and all, but with a few sprays they do the trick.
another way is the traditional one. with a broom, of course. it's a little creepy coz the creature might fall right on you(on rare occasions) but once you master it, its definitely effective in knocking them off.
here's a tip, get them when they're young. the smaller ones are easier to get. the huger they get, the harder it is to handle. and keep the population under control. if visitors see ur house infested with lizards, they'll think twice about coming back (unless you want it that way!!)

good luck!

One of the easiest way to keep lizards at bay is to place used egg shells near the window from where they enter. Lizards hate the smell of eggs and will never come again.

I don't know about them being nuisance, because i had a monitor as well as an alligator and both died. But they were quiet, they didn't need attention or changing so often like most pets. But for the most Part they're cool.

Don't. If any get inside, capture them and put them outside. Lizards eat bugs.
