Bleach won't harm a garbage disposal at all and it disolves organic matter. If you want results, use bleach. The insides of disposals are all stainless steel, they have to be, otherwise they would rust away in no time. Bleach has no effect on Stainless steel. Have the disposal running and pour a couple cups in, wait 15 minutes and do it again. Bleach is cheap, use the whole gallon. It will clean your pipes somewhat too. After you've done that for a couple hours, flush it with a lot of boiling water and a little dish soap. Do it next time before it starts stinking.
All that stuff about using lemons, baking soda and the like is for babies. There's not enough acid in a lemon to do anything, after all, you can eat lemons. All that will do is give you a new smell. Ice cubes are especially bad, that's like throwing rocks in there and can bend the blades. And forget the chicken bones, unless you want to call a plumber.

If you have an ice maker in your freezer, every so often dump the ice out into the sink and grind it up in the disposal with the hot water running. This has always been a good way to clean out the disposal as well as unload the ice before it starts to absorb freezer odors.
I also pour water mixed with antibacterial soap down the disposal each time I use it for anything that might tend to smell foul if it's not cleaned.

pour some baking soda into the rubbish disposal then pour somewhat vinagar and enable it take a seat for like quarter-hour then run extremely warm water down the drain. no remember if it remains somewhat pungent you may then pour some lemon jiuce down the drain. The baking soda and vinagar will sparkling it and the lemon juice will deodorize it. (you're able to try this to any drain in the abode and it will shop them advantageous and sparkling) wish you get your wiped sparkling as having your place scent from a stinking sink is terrible, sturdy success

You can cut a lemon up and grind it in the disposal. There is a product in the stores just for that purpose but I found a lemon works well.

Don't forget that putting ice cubes into the disposal as it's running will help scrape off any lingering food particles that are causing the bad odor. That, and if you eat oranges, the peels are the best deodorizer.

vinegar and baking soda, pour one box of baking soda in then pour a bottle of white vinegar in and allow to bubble until done. Then rinse with cool water for a few minutes. This should do the trick clean and remove the odor. You can also from time to time pour some lemon juice down it. this is also very helpful to unclog drains. Good luck hope this is helpful God Bless

I think the first thing I would do is feed it some chicken bones, then pour in a box of baking soda. Not sure about the vinegar cocktail, but it sounds effective.

Ozone Generator, period! Not only will it help kill the odor, but it will kill the bacteria in there. In my business we have a commercial dumpster product and it worrks wonders. There is a smaller version that is for different applications that would work.
